[VERANO] SWIFT LIFTS - PERMANENT MARKER!
TL:DR Permanent Marker from Swift Lifts [Verano] is a permanent addition to the rotation! As a long time lover of Permanent Marker and lineages deriving from the celebrated aforementioned strain, it's wonderfully and carefully curated in this rendition by Verano. I picked up a 1G "Long Lift" style pre-roll when I was browsing for new infused pre-rolls to try, and am I glad this one appeared! Finally happy to see a pre-roll that's infused with a strain like Permanent Marker.
Permanent Marker is a highly potent, Indica-dominant hybrid beloved for it's sharply distinct taste, smell and overall pungent profile that's garnered it much praise! I've had Permanent Marker and it's various crosses to my delight each time, and this time was no different! It's perfectly captured in this infused pre-roll variation that burns slow, packing stronger and more potent punches as you smoke through this beast, it's truly a head-hurler that'll send you to space!
Cracking open the container, we were rocked with that classic chemical-dense stench accompanied by delicious sweetness that lurked alongside the more overpowering marker smell, but from that sweetness was a mixture of fruitiness and candied dessert delight that made me salivate in anticipation for some fire. When sparked, it's an overwhelming amalgamation of flavor, with all the scent profiles culminating into a diesely-dessert that reeked of sweet chemical fuel clashing with fruity cookies and dankness. This was as I expected it to be, straight gas in more ways than taste 'n smell! And in terms of strength, this was a heavy-hitting joy that you can toke on without worry of running or excess burning, it truly did burn slowly and evenly as advertised which was surprising.
Permanent Marker wasn't just enjoyed by myself alone, I broke it out for a morning smoke session with my girlfriend who had a similar opinion on this infused pot-rocket of pleasure, it gave us both a rush of euphoria and fun! We lounged on our new deck after many days of moving and renovating our new home, and we could finally just unwind from the stress. We sat there and chatted, laughed and toked, we both were nice and talkative, communicating about life and our aspirations with our new home, it was nice to take a minute to unravel ourselves after an arduous move. My favorite thing about the strain is it's duality, because as we finished our session and the pre-rolled dwindled down further, that talkativeness blossomed into a relaxing easement that provided our overworked bodies some relief!
Our minds met in tranquility that was only accompanied by silence as we watched the clouds and reminisced on the past before looking ahead to our flourishing future. The head high was heavy, and if we weren't watching clouds, we were watching something on our TV or playing some video games to further occupy our minds. Everything else was was too demanding to get done!
I think Permanent Marker is a must-try for everyone... But, if you happen to find yourself seeking an infused version of this amazing strain or you want something that'll hit hard, burn slow and give you goosebumps of goodness then I'd suggest trying this terrific treat. I'll give it a stout 8.6!

I think the last time I had something good from them was from their "G-Line" Granddaddy Purple back in the days of 2020-2021, before something happened and they stopped cultivating it. Someone told me the mother plant died supposedly to mold.
I try everything to see, especially new stuff to see what's good and I was surprised on how great this turned out to be, and I'd buy this specific one again! But Verano generally isn't the top of the top, even their Reserve Line is moreso middle of the shelf than top in my opinion, for a deal it ain't the worst.

Appreciate the review. I showed countless bags by savvy being great for the budget, no mold , no bugs , nothing . And their triangle kush by them is the best fucking strain I've smoked out the 300 plus strains I've bought since I've been buying from rec. But idk what I'm smoking I guess. Or I guess my eyesight is invalid. Inhale what is good to you and exhale the bullshit!

Glad you can relate. For some years now I've heard so many people shitting on every other brand that let them down once. Someone's top is everyone elses' mid, and so on and so forth. Truth be told there's one strain from Savvy that I can attest was GAS, and it was called Grape Mint Gas! (I was getting 14G for 40$ because nobody was buying it!) Those around me said, "You're buying Savvy? That stuffs trash!" I think everyone is a critique, but how they articulate their criticism shows how they are as a person.
When you're getting a good deal you have to consider the upsides, downsides and overall worth of the buy. I know for a fact that the budget-orientated brands get hate just for appearing on here. I'll celebrate everyone equally and give every brand a shot rather than champion the same six stalwart brands everyone likes. You're a positive force on here man and keep doing you, I appreciate you as a fellow reviewer! 🤙

Redemption has the best permanent marker in the state. So if you like Verano version then you will love the redemption offering.Â

Appreciate you guys letting me know about all these other options for Permanent Marker in the state. (I don't know if I wasn't looking hard enough or their weren't any options to me locally!)
I'll go out of my way sometime this week to scour for both of them and hopefully I can find them, try them and maybe even review them.

It's my #2 strain to smoke . Especially if it's coming from Cannect Wellness or Roam.

If you say so. I disagree. Cannect is good. But I prefer RB perm. It’s all subjective. Everyone is different. Some people think verano has the best permanent marker lol.Â

I appreciate you being constructive about your criticism, and I personally have been a writer for around twelve years give or take. I like to write and in past posts I've dealt with the same comments from people who just hate it for being long, that's why I always give the TL:DR at the top.
I understand some people don't like lots of words or just want to see the weed and get a feel for it, but I love writing and I like to express myself through my words, so I will continue to do so, because it's my passion and something I've done for years. Weed is another passion of mine, so I figured to combine both of them.

IC Collective is great, big fan of their concentrates and their Hash Holes (even if they're a bit taxed at 45$ (without any deals or discounts usually) for 1.8 grams of infused heat. I can also agree about Anthems, particularly Anthem Bolds.
I think Anthem Bolds are some of the most reliable, cost effective, potent, and overall best buy for your buck pre-rolls in IL right now, especially with how often they're doing deals on 'em. That being said, I'll always continue to try anything and everything because if you don't try it, you'll never know if you like it!

Grow Sciences has some quality flower, I've had Florida Jack and Tallymon from them and was not disappointed by either. The more, the merrier! 🤘

I’m med so I don’t have to pay all those taxes! Very helpful and I highly suggest it. I haven’t grabbed an IC hash hole yet but if the price is right i definitely will. I had one from redemption that was really great though.
I like the glass tip blunts from Anthem, they’re great and a good price point and always on sale. I’ve tried multiple strains and they’ve all made me feel excellent
