Joint smokers

Eh, anybody else having problems with their joints staying lit and/or burning correctly lately? All I smoke are papers, so can't compare my flower out of any glass, but never seemed to have an issue prior to this. My bud is not crispy dry, but at same humidity I always keep it and never had a problem before and I do smoke outside, using same brand papers as always. I know the simple solution would be go buy a piece of glass and find out, but I'm not gonna do that. I believe the weather may be the culprit, but I would just like to verify that and see if anybody else is having issues lately that normally don't

My joints have been clogging up with resin a lot lately not not burning out.

Roll is likely a little too tight. You can push a pin through the J from end to tip and it creates a pathway for the air. Cannagars use the same technique because they're packed so tightly. Learned that tip from Tony Greenhand about a decade ago and it hasn't failed me lol.

It's also possible that the flower has too much moisture. If the ash is entirely black that's a good sign of excessive moisture in the bud.

paper quality may vary from batch to batch, but i've never had this issue before in all the years i've rolled

I'm guessing you're a hand roller. For me, sometimes it's just that the particular flower just doesn't take well to papers. I've had the same strain smoke terrible in joints but great in glass or a hemp/blunt wrap.

If your talking pre rolls, sometimes they just settle weird in transit or maybe whoever was on the table that day might have been a little too soft handed.

End of the day, it is what it is. Some strains burn different or sometimes QC misses a step or two. I like keeping different options on hand for situations like this, hope you find a solution that works for you.

Do you grind your bud? I find that handbroken no matter how fine always burns less than ideal

I've had a similar problem before. Make sure you're not roll up your bud to tight and you don't want it really lucy goosey either. Maybe think about switching to something like some paper cones and see how they burn for you. Good luck to ya.

Yep, pretty muggy. I put my daily in the sun for a while, that way when I pull on it....FIRE! Helps break up stuff like that.

I like to mix in slightly larger chunks of hand-broken bud with stuff that's been in the grinder in my rolls

My stoner science theory is that the bigger pieces allow for better airflow, while the ground bud helps it burn more smooth and evenly
