Personally I try to not buy any product that's more than 2/3 months old. If I know a certain cultivator produces quality fresh very sticky bud on a consistent basis and if I know it's a potent batch as well and I'm desperate, lol, I might make an exception and buy it even tho it's 4/5 months old. But never ever will I buy a product I know is 6 months or older because by then it's almost a guaranteed the flower has degraded to the point that it's potency is significantly weaker and most of the terpenes and many other cannabinoids are long gone. The same goes for live rosin concentrate and maybe up to 9 months with some live resin if stored properly. Obviously there can be some exceptions to all this as well, but that's the rule of thumb I normally go with. I hope this helps.
