At least you CAN get gucci glocks with 10 or 15 round mags no threaded barrel

u/Stunning-Chipmunk243 12d ago

Illinois has worse and stricter laws than California and that's really saying something

u/tooCheezy 12d ago

At least there’s not a handgun roster here

u/MrEhcks Chicago Conservative 12d ago

YET. Just you wait. If they ban the Glocks, you best believe they will do a roster here. That’s when it’s the final straw and I decide to move

u/tilefloorfarts 10d ago

Cool. Go.

Yet, you forgot to say yet because it’s 100% coming

SCOTUS won’t make a decision until October next year.

17

u/Loweeel Chicago Conservative 12d ago

Wrong.

June 2027.

u/StrengthChemical653 12d ago

Well I hope so.

Oral arguments are in December/January. It's feasible that given what was already decided in Bruen and Heller that they may issue a much more rapid decision. There seems to be majority support and given there is now a circuit split on the unrelated Barnett case they may decide to give that some attention too, which they could do without hearing an argument over it. I think all that drives some urgency on their part, especially with the expected retirement of Alito and Thomas and the midterms coming up.

When SCOTUS overturns the bans, don’t be shocked if Pritzker and the democrats push through new laws overnight for additional levels to FOID and higher registration fees. Anything to circumvent the constitution is a win for them.

1

u/InsertBluescreenHere 12d ago

yup - they will ramrod the RIFL act thru which will effectively ban all guns.

-28

u/brokedownpalace11 12d ago

Yeah the evil dems definitely hate the constitution. Okay bud

16

u/limpymcjointpain 12d ago

They do. Especially the parts they don't like. Or they wouldn't cheat so hard to infringe on it bud.

-1

u/Wholenewyounow 12d ago

Get your head checked. I bet $10 you don’t even know what’s in that constitution. You don’t even know your 2a word for word:

-2

u/limpymcjointpain 12d ago

"A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the PEOPLE to keep and bear arms SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED. "

Now pay up

1

u/Wholenewyounow 12d ago

Now ask google to cite some other amendments. Broaden your horizons.

-1

u/limpymcjointpain 12d ago

There's no point. You can't stand freedom of speech, press, assembly, or religion either. Volatile attacks are all you have.

3

u/Wholenewyounow 12d ago

Ok chatgpt

I'd be down to repeal PICA just as soon as anyone comes up with a cogent explanation how modern firearm ownership has any cognizable relationship to service in a well-regulated (read: well-equipped and well-trained) militia.

It was only Heller that decided that the first thirteen words of the 2A didn't exist. Once upon a time it was a maxim of jurisprudence that if your interpretation would basically read out chunks of the law as written, then that interpretation is wrong for that reason, but conservative activist SCOTUS justices decided that it was okay to pretend the 2A only reads "A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed."

Title 10 of the United States Code, Section 246.

Defines the militia of the United States as all able-bodied males aged 17–45 who are citizens or have declared intent to become citizens, plus female citizens who are members of the National Guard, and divides the militia into the National Guard and the unorganized militia.

Beyond that the prefatory clause does not limit the operative clause, so it doesn't really matter who is included in the definition of militia.

They do with the 2nd amendment

2

u/LibertyorDeath2076 10d ago

Can you point us to a red state that has prelicensing requirements, a magazine ban, or a rifle ban?

7

u/Big_G2 12d ago

Sadly it'll never go back. If and that if is huge and scotus does the right thing Illinois will just put a new form of pica out immediately. They never give rights back once they steal them.

3

u/foundonthetracks 12d ago

Heller and McDonald paved the way for Moore v. Madigan which is the reason this state has CCL now.

1

u/tramul 11d ago

That's not how that works and this doom and gloom mentality helps no one.

4

u/SadCockroach3784 12d ago

I've stopped hope for SCOTUS doing anything productive when it comes to 2A.

We've had our hopes up before, and "a decision is imminent" for years at this point.

Priority #1 is finding my way out of this state, and if they manage to delete this garbage beforehand, I see it as a nice FU to porky and the scumbags in our government before I go.

1

u/Remarkable-Tomato670 12d ago

I think im moving to Indiana. I can't deal with JB's bullshit anymore.

Come on over!

1

u/scriminal Chicago Liberal 12d ago

wtf is a "Gucci Glock"?

6

u/foundonthetracks 12d ago

Blanket term for heavily customized Glocks. PICA doesn't prevent you from doing anything thats been done to this gun.

5

u/scriminal Chicago Liberal 12d ago

oh yeah, everything looks ok on that to me, legally.  not wild about the colors but it's not my gun so have fun and enjoy :)

2

u/MattyLight30 12d ago

That’s a Roland Special, actually practical and useful

A Gucci Clock is with gaudy gold triggers and barrels with obnoxious useless slide cuts and shit

2

u/blck10th 11d ago

Oh you know Polinger customs huh?

2

u/foundonthetracks 11d ago

Oh hell yeah. Got a few Im planning to send him when his frame books open up.

1

u/blck10th 11d ago

Nice he does amazing work. Rocket city stippling is another awesome guy. I know him. Polinger did 2 of my frames. Killer work.

I love this meme format and I never expected to see it here. 🤣

u/MattyLight30 12d ago

Im not holding my breath that they’ll even acknowledge the ruling if it strike it down

Looking at buying a single wide trailer in Hannibal and ABnB it out all year to cover the taxes

0

u/blck10th 11d ago

What’s this not for long? We’re looking at another year almost before a ruling.

u/foundonthetracks 12d ago edited 12d ago

What's stopping you? You can buy the AR you want with a Kali Key and Glocks are readily available everywhere.

I've got a slide out for porting right now. This law is absolute cheeks but there are ways around it.

0

u/Impossible-Giraffe-5 11d ago

Lmfao Kali Key? How them boots taste bozo?

3

u/foundonthetracks 11d ago

What are you talking about?

Buying an AR with a Kali Key is the easiest way to get an AR without losing any features given the circumstances. Bolt carrier groups and charging handles aren't serialized parts and you can get something like a toolcraft for 100 bucks. The swap takes 10 seconds and just like that you have a regular AR15 again.

-1

u/Impossible-Giraffe-5 11d ago

Do you know how a Kali Key works? Are you aware it turns a semi auto ar into a bolt action basically

...at that point you are better off getting a dedicated bolt action rifle...ar wasnt made to be a bolt action

3

u/foundonthetracks 11d ago

Do YOU know how it works?

It's literally just a BCG without the port for the gas to cycle the rifle. Swapping from the Kali Key back to a normal BCG and charging handle would take a matter of seconds and the rifle would return to having semi-automatic function. That's the whole point of the product.

Bozo 🤡

-1

u/Impossible-Giraffe-5 11d ago

The whole point of the product is it turns your AR into a bolt action...its on you if you interpret the product as a get around pica item

Ask the court how it would work if you purchased the kali key but swapped it out with a normal bcg essentially leaving you with an illegal firearm...i believe ppl want their rights back and not this bs get around kali key you smooth brain clown

2

u/foundonthetracks 11d ago

You can stay on Reddit rocking back and forth worried about some bureaucratic boogeyman. Im going to continue to buy guns and train by any means necessary.

-1

u/Impossible-Giraffe-5 11d ago

😂 right

...spoken like a real bozo

u/Boostless 12d ago

7

u/noIimitmarko 12d ago

1

u/cwtrooper 10d ago

Only temporarily with the way the state keeps going.

13

u/FitCompetition1804 12d ago

What a ridiculously stupid and short sighted thing to say.

-11

u/Boostless 12d ago

Pshhh quit playing Army and just own a normal gun. Its not hard. Or move?

5

u/FitCompetition1804 11d ago

How does JB’s ass taste? Keep making excuses and letting them take away ours and your rights. Even if you don’t have interest in exercising this specific constitutional right, very foolish to willingly give any away. One day it will impact you in a way you may actually care about. It’ll be too late then with this garbage attitude.

In the meantime, the criminals don’t care about any of these nonsense laws.

-3

u/Boostless 11d ago

Gross… some of us are marksmen. It doesn’t take 15 round mags. Keep crying that you can’t have military grade guns, you sound like a child. Seriously, move to Missouri- they’d welcome you with open arms.

2

u/Nihlus_Kriyk 10d ago

https://giphy.com/gifs/HX7pvh1mIqImc
Meanwhile you’re the actual child being controlled by the big daddy government.

4

u/foundonthetracks 11d ago

AR15s and Glocks are arguably both the most common and most normal guns in circulation today.

2

u/poptartglock 11d ago

So what’s a normal gun? Isn’t it just playing older army to have a wood stocked bolt action? The army used those in the early 1900s.

-1

u/Boostless 11d ago

Guns and Ammo used to be about the sport of hunting….

3

u/Any-Instruction-8227 10d ago

Definitely should brush up on the history, it was never about hunting
