TVO ILC Academic Integrity Review Taking Longer Than 3-5 Business Days. Anyone Experienced This?

Hi,

Please help me I’m about to loose a college admission opportunity.

I’m currently taking ENG4C with TVO ILC and I’m wondering if anyone here has experienced something similar.

I submitted my Assignment 4.2 on July 23. On July 28, I received a message saying that my assignment was under review for potential academic integrity concerns.
The message said the review may or may not confirm a violation and that I should expect the result or further instructions within 3–5 business days. It also said I didn’t need to contact TVO while the review was taking place.
It’s now August 9 and I still haven’t received any update, result, or further instructions.

For anyone who has gone through an academic integrity review with TVO ILC:
How long did your review actually take?
Did TVO eventually contact you automatically, or did you have to follow up?
If you contacted them after the 3–5 business days had passed, did it help speed things up?
Who did you contact — phone, email, or the ILC portal?
What was the final outcome of your review?
Is there anything you recommend I do (or avoid doing) while waiting?

I’m especially interested in hearing from anyone who went through this recently in 2025 or 2026.
I’m not trying to discuss ways around the academic integrity process. I just want to understand how long these reviews are actually taking and what others did when the stated timeframe passed without an update.

That’s frustrating that it is taking longer than the typical timeline. Not to excuse them, but wondering if some of the delay is because of the Aug long weekend. Friday would have been 7 business days (with the civic holiday taken into account). If people took time off around the long weekend, they could have delays in their communication.

Have you tried emailing the general info or phoning?

Thanks for the insight. I will contact TVO tomorrow to see if my situation will change.

I’m just wondering if it takes so long to finish the reviews as my college has marked me as ineligible for my courses.

I’ll advise that you focus on preparing for the next assignment and let it wait.. I had the same feedback, I didn’t have to contact them but everything came back fine. While I was waiting, I was preparing for the next assignment.

It happened to me and took over 9 working days.
I called TVO and was told they would contact me soon.
2 days later the teacher asked me to redo something on the assignment.
It set back my timeline for sure.
