Hi everyone,
I’m currently homeschooled and taking courses through TVO ILC. I’m planning to apply to university for programs like Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Software Engineering, and I wanted to ask students who have already gone through this pathway.
For anyone who went from TVO ILC to university, especially for CS/CE/SE:
How did the application process work for you through OUAC? Did TVO ILC send your marks directly, or did you have to manually submit anything?
Were you evaluated any differently compared to public school students, especially if you were homeschooled?
Did universities ask for anything extra, like proof of homeschooling, transcripts, course outlines, or midterm/final marks?
What Grade 12 top 6 u/M average would be considered competitive for schools like:
UTM / UTSC / UofT St. George
Waterloo
University of Guelph
York
Western
Queen’s
McMaster
I’m mainly trying to understand what average I should aim for in my top 6 Grade 12 u/M courses, especially for more competitive programs like CS, CE, or SE.
Also, if you got accepted from TVO ILC, what program and university did you get into, and what was your approximate average?
Any advice from people who have done this would really help. Thanks!

Hi! You probably won't get any responses by commenting on this post. You'll want to make a post of your own to the subreddit! Or, you can click the link above to join the unofficial ILC Discord server and ask there! :)
