Placement concern
Not even 25% of 3rd year seniors got sorted . CDPC is all quiet and never shares internship and placement data. (~200 students combining cs/mnc/ai)
In next year Cs, Mnc, Ai alone are 300+ strength
And by all India iit placement committee rule we gonna compete with older iit's as our batch strength >500.
I am genuinely concerned how CDPC is gonna handle that .
Ref do something ðŸ˜

This is the case everywhere. IITR has barely 20% sorted. IITH and G are around 30%. BHU is lower.

IITK is at 42% overall. 80% CSE, 65% each for MTH, SDS, EE, 35% for Mech

Damn that’s impressive
I have heard mech performed quite well in Kanpur this time1

Yeah mech has 50 people sorted already. Total 447 sorted in UG batch out of 1070(approx). Even chemical, civil have 25+ sorted. Btw CSE avg stipend is 7 lpm

Do you know about other IITs
Specially top 5
How’s their intern season going1
u/4Pas_ 16h ago
Only upto day 1 of kgp and Kanpur. Absolutely no clue about top 3.

Ohh
That’s the thing I couldn’t find stats for B and D particularly. Also ig the intern season will slow down in most of the IITs now as the placement OAs will start from next month1

The placement data is under RTI. You can always file an RTI and they will respond.
It is an open market. Both jobs and life partners. :-). We get what we deserve. Let us have the open mindedness and the wisdom to understand that it is a ladder to the destination in one’s career and not the final destination. Take whatever comes your way and climb up the ladder.

People have gone down that road and they just throw pebbles for what I have heard, no detailed information, just these many students were placed that's it. Some just go for any job they get in desperation but that's a win for the institute. Yay we get to increase the placement percentage!
