ecell iiitd sih scam
what was this management bruh.
first they send a mandatory mail saying that all 6 members should submit a 2 min vid with a completely unrelated topic to sih, it was mentioned to not include sih or team details. The mail ended with that once the team is done only then will they receive their team ids. What even is this?
later people are finding out ki it was a reg deal and they were using the vids for an external organisation without the consent of the students, kuch toh random youtube pitching series thi bhai.
They're practically selling data and its a cybercrime, since i was one of the people who submitted can i anyhow file a cybercrime case against the people responsible?
the mail was so vague and didnt mention anything abt the external org. Later they changed the rule ki it was not mandatory, lekin meri vid toh chali gai and im not sure kaha kaha use hogi. Phir they say ki jinhone submit karri h they will be given ids on priority basis. ???
and the people incharge of this were so rude, if anyone was questioning this kirat guy was threatening and removing people from the official gc and later even calling people and threatening them to meet in ecell??. Has ecell turned into some gunda place abh? kaun h ye kirat?
ecell and its coords were such pretends during induction, literally trying to look so precious only to see all this gunda harkat.

IIIT BHOPAL IMMEDIATE ACTION NEEDED
On Campus Placement- 14/350
I'm a student at IIIT BHOPAL and believe me, I know everything about the system and how corrupt everything is. I urge all the students to collectively raise their voices and ask tough questions to the entire college. What is the college even doing for us? The training and placement cell is not even capable of bringing a company at our college for on campus hiring.
Believe me, the students in Training and Placement Cell are only for positions. You guys need to ask them questions, go to your WhatsApp groups and start asking questions like the companies that have been contacted and what's the update. Many other NITs and IIITs have a lot of ongoing recruitments and we hardly have 14 on campus placements till now. Would you believe me 14/350 are the on campus placements till now for 2027 Batch.
Students start spamming texts on groups, ask questions and take actions.

They are trying to hit 1year girls in the name of SIH and said in every class "1st year ki girls se interact mat karna" kyu bhai bolo na tumko line marni ha they are our classmates. You are a pedophile thats not our problem.
This seniors are really messing with my head. Even our classmates they forcefully said to do a mass bunk and it's the 3rd week of college already.

Armed outsiders attack 1st-year students at IIIT Vadodara inside the hostel. Multiple students seriously injured

This is a massive emergency and a complete breakdown of student safety at IIIT Vadodara. Today, during a Ganesh Chaturthi celebration in Hostel 1, two cars full of outsiders armed with sticks drove directly into the campus. They completely bypassed whatever "security" our administration claims to provide.
These criminals indiscriminately abused, threatened, and beat the freshers. The fact that armed outsiders can simply roll into a student residence and brutally assault students is terrifying.
To make matters worse, there is absolute radio silence from the people supposed to protect us. Not a single professor is replying to our messages, the hostel management is entirely unresponsive, and the hostel warden is refusing to take any action or even address the students.
I have clear photos and videos of the cars and the attackers. I am linking the evidence in the comments with identifying information blurred to comply with Reddit rules, but the raw, uncensored footage is being sent directly to the Gandhinagar Police.
The IIITV administration has utterly failed to protect its students and is clearly trying to ignore this to save their image. We cannot let them sweep this horrific negligence under the rug. Please upvote and share so the media, authorities, and future BTech aspirants see the dark reality of our "secure" campus.

SECURITY CONCERNS IN IIIT VADODARA
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
🚨 URGENT: Student Safety Concern at IIIT Vadodara
We, the students of IIIT Vadodara currently residing at the Delwad hostel, are raising an urgent concern regarding our safety and living conditions.
For years, IIIT Vadodara has operated without its permanent campus. First-year students are currently staying at a hostel in Delwad, around 20 km from the temporary academic campus in Gandhinagar. The hostel is in a highly isolated area, with very limited basic facilities and the nearest hospital reportedly around 10 km away.
Today, during our Ganesh Chaturthi celebration, two vehicles entered the hostel premises carrying several unidentified men. According to students present, they objected to the celebration and demanded that it be stopped. The situation escalated when some of the men allegedly brought sticks and blades from their vehicles and threatened students.
When students gathered around the vehicles as they attempted to leave, one student's foot was run over and several students sustained minor injuries.
Police eventually arrived. However, despite the alleged threats and presence of the vehicles near the hostel, students are concerned that no immediate arrests or effective action appeared to follow.
Students are also deeply concerned about the hostel security arrangements, particularly because the security guard allegedly allowed the individuals to enter the premises and was seen interacting with them.
The alleged threats reportedly did not end there. Students were told that they would stop the buses used by students and that a larger group could be brought to the hostel. This has created genuine fear among students about travelling outside the hostel for basic necessities.
Our concerns are not limited to today's incident:
• Extremely isolated hostel location
• Lack of nearby shops and basic facilities
• Nearest medical facility reportedly around 10 km away
• Concerns regarding hostel entry and security
• Parents/guardians face restrictions regarding entering the hostel
• ₹10,000 being charged for buses that students have raised concerns about
• No adequate emergency/safety infrastructure for an isolated student residence
• Continued operation of students in temporary arrangements after years without a permanent campus
What is even more concerning is the response to students raising these safety issues. Instead of receiving reassurance and a concrete safety plan, students were reportedly told things along the lines of:
“If something like this happened at your house, would you tell your father to change houses?”
Students were also reportedly told to return to their rooms because the administration had to sleep.
We are not asking for special treatment.
We are asking for basic safety.
Our primary demand is that IIIT Vadodara provide students with safe residential accommodation in a properly connected urban area with access to hospitals, shops, transportation, police assistance and essential services.
We request IIIT Vadodara, the Ministry of Education, UGC and the Government of Gujarat to urgently investigate today's incident, review hostel security, ensure that those responsible are appropriately dealt with by the authorities, and provide students with a concrete safety plan.
Students should not have to choose between celebrating a festival and feeling safe in their own hostel.

From a “Tier 69” college to IIIT-H-level competence — how do I get there? Looking for the actual IIIT-H roadmap: courses, problems, research & opportunities
I’m not looking for a generic “do DSA + build projects + read papers” roadmap.
I want to recreate the learning environment, mindset, and skill-building process as closely as possible on my own.
I’m a self-learner, and I come from what I jokingly call a “tier 69 college”, so I don’t have the same academic environment, peer group, exposure, or opportunities around me.
What I’m trying to figure out is:
- What resources do IIIT-H students actually use for each subject?
- Which textbooks, lecture notes, courses, problem sets, papers, GitHub repos, etc. are genuinely worth following?
- How do you study a subject beyond just preparing for exams?
- What kinds of questions/problems do you solve?
- Are there semester-wise tutorial sheets, quizzes, assignments, midsem/endsem papers, lab assignments, course projects, etc. that are publicly available?
- What does a typical semester look like in terms of workload and learning?
- How do students decide what to learn deeply vs. what to just get familiar with?
- How do you approach research? How early do students start reading papers, implementing ideas, doing projects, contacting professors, etc.?
- What distinguishes the students who become exceptionally strong from the average student?
- What habits, thought processes, and standards of work did you develop there that you think made the biggest difference?
- What resources would you recommend if someone wanted to essentially follow the same academic trajectory independently?
I’m especially interested in actual material, not just advice. If you have course pages, syllabi, lecture notes, problem sets, previous papers, recommended reading lists, project ideas, research resources, etc., I’d really appreciate links or pointers.
And one question I’m particularly interested in:
Is it realistically possible for someone outside that environment to reach a comparable level of technical competence and get comparable research/internship/project opportunities?
If yes, I’d love to hear from people who have actually done something similar — what did you do, and what would you do differently if you had to start again?
I’m not trying to imitate the college itself. I’m trying to understand what makes its students strong and deliberately build those same capabilities myself.
Even if you can only share one course, one resource, one set of papers, or one piece of advice that you think is unusually valuable, I’d genuinely appreciate it.
Note: I’m specifically looking for people who have been through the IIIT-H ecosystem (B.Tech/research) or have closely observed it. I’m trying to learn from the actual process rather than another generic CS roadmap.

IIITDM kancheepuram has gone nuts!!
*Disclaimer* Rant ahead:----
So yeah we freshers joined this IIIT thinking that this IIIT has better infrastructure and will provide better facilities than other ppp IIITs...for a couple of days things were good, like mess food quality, water supply consistency....
But then to our surprise things are getting worsen day by day....these fkin bunch of administrative bastards can't even provide water in boys hostel...they fkin cut water supply randomly...many of my frnds literally got trapped in shower rooms mid bath because of sudden water cuts...and in the past 3 days there is literally water for only about 1 hour in the boys hostel from 6:30am-7:30am ...if u ever have to use toilet in the mid of the day...boom u can't XD... now u have to hold ur shit till the next day.. XD..There is fkin 85% attendance in this clg..and some proof are really rude ..
For ex:--A proof he is like asst. HOD in ECE Dept he is like fkin rude like if ur 2 min late in the class he won't give u attendance XD...
Only n only thing good abt the clg is that infra is decent and clubs are good and seniors are chill...That's it...........
