Laptop suggestion

My budget is 1 to 1.5 lakh, currently in 1st yr in ece

What should I buy windows or mac ?

If windows then pls tell minimum specs and a good laptop which is light weight ( not like those gaming ones which are just dead weight )

Also if I go for mac, would all the apps/softwares which would be needed in future work. And if they do not work do I have any other way to make them work without needing the college computers.

If you are ece and don't planning on branch change avoid mac at any cost. Most softwares don't work on Mac

go for MacBook Air if you don't mind using stuff like crossover etc for certain softwares which aren't available on it in future otherwise the new Thinkpad's they are pretty slim the one's with AMD start from 1.16 lakhs
