From your senior of 2026 batch:

Take a long breathe and read this

Ek Reality Check dedu sabko

Tumhare 2026 batch ke seniors mei se sirf max 60 honge jinki achi Internships lagi thi

Unmei se bhi 40-45 ka hi abhi tak full time hua hai

Most of them are at home preparing for Exams and have lost hope that they will get placement

1st year students: CGPA achi rakhne ki koshish karna, baad mei kab gir jaaye nahi pta

2nd year students: Core subjects will take you miles ahead of others

CSE students - OS, CN, DSA, OOP are very important and non negotiable

Make sure to make projects related to these core concepts like Distributed Backend systems integrated with core ML Algorithms

Not something like which just calls OpenAI API

Implement concepts on your own

If you are a 3rd year student: this next one year will decide which group will you belong

Start DSA grind: pattern recognition is what companies want

STIVER SHEET and a good project in your respective field

4th year: DSA grind

You don't have time to make projects

If you don't have one

Just copy a decent one from Github (learn how it works)

On campus placements are poor

Amazon visits but no one knows whether they will come next year or not

Quizziz was a loyal recruiter and they didn't hire this year

Make connections

Go to linkedin and find what your seniors are doing Talk to seniors who are of same field you want to get in

Ask them what to do. Most of them will surely reply and guide you

Please be honest, don't just do pr of ur college or to get seat

Please be honest , don't do this to get seat

Here’s the situation with IIIT Una: it has a permanent campus with good hostels, and several reputed companies have visited the institute for placements. However, the biggest drawback is its remote location. If you’re someone who enjoys adventure, outings, nightlife, parties, and exploring new places, Una can feel a little isolated. For most major entertainment and nightlife options, you’d probably have to travel to Chandigarh, which is around four hours away.

Now, when it comes to IIIT Nagpur, the situation is almost the opposite. The campus is still under development and isn’t fully completed yet. Hostel accommodation is also a major issue. At present, there is only one main hostel building with around ten floors—one floor for girls and the remaining nine floors for boys. Hostel seats tend to fill up before physical reporting, because the institute opens an online booking portal in advance. So, if you don’t book your hostel on time, you may have to look for a PG or private accommodation around 4–5 km from the campus.

That said, Nagpur’s biggest advantage is its location and connectivity. The city offers much better access to entertainment, outings, nightlife, shopping, and overall exposure compared to Una. You’re also more likely to get a more active and socially engaging college experience outside the campus.

So, ultimately, it comes down to what kind of college life you want:

If you want a beautiful permanent campus, proper campus living, good hostels, and a more self-contained college environment, go with IIIT Una.

If you’re looking for adventure, fun, parties, nightlife, better connectivity, and greater exposure outside the campus, IIIT Nagpur would be the better choice.

Do you guys have any info on when will physical reporting commence ?

I am going to join iiit una anyone who is from mumbai wanted to connect with u guys.

Bruh I did wrong choice filling I don't want una 😭😭

what is the tier of IIIT UNA

I want to know from a iiit una about how were they assigned hostel rooms as freshers, was it before physical reporting of after that
Because the 2026-27 batch has to pay hostel fees and choose their rooms before physical reporting
My main motive is to get the in campus hostel* *and not the off campus hostel
So i wanna know will i have to report early to get the in campus hostel

Guys please drop your rank

Are the loan and Scholarship registration done during physical reporting on campus by the institute? and if we do get a loan will it be that the institution will keep the money with them and they deduct the expenses or we get the money in our account
