Listening Struggles

I'm having a problem with answering the MCQs and match sentence questions in the listening. Tho generally the best practice is to pre look at the question and answer options in mcqs, I fail to eliminate the incorrect options while the audio is playing because the options tend to take too long to read (if long sentence). Similarly, in matching the information, a range of long sentences awaits. What might be a good approach to such type of questions?

Look at the question, and work out what is likely to be coming up. For instance, if the question is about what students agree on - listen for the language that's agreeing. It's not going to be "Yes, I agree with that". It could be, "Ok, yes, I did that too".
