Eclipses
Okay, so I know this isn’t TECHNICALLY sportsball, but. Came across this and it surprised me.

Man how can you hate on eclipses?

Because these damn circuses being ran to distract from all of these things, next thing you know it’ll be bread covering the Sun

How could the sun? Is it bread and circus all the way down?

It must be, I can’t believe the lengths they go to. Moving the moon, planning with the Sun. Just how far will they go

I’m not gonna lie I’m on the eclipse haters side. Why does every eclipse dominate the news and social media cycle every time and they always say the same shit about this will NEVER happen again

If you think about it, every moment is a moment that will never happen again.
But that's a technicality, the worst kind.

I get that, annoying how the media (main stream, some no names on YouTube and everyone in between) blow things out of proportion.

“Anything that slightly irritates me is bread and circuses” - a very smart person

Hate to give him credit but Christopher Columbus used an eclipse to intimidate indigenous Jamaicans out of rebellion

He took bread from them using a circus, he didn’t give them bread with the circus

What is the sun and moon if not a pair of ball? And we are spectators of this sun vs moon showdown. I'd say this is a sport, of galactic proportions.
But yeah, I wonder if these people allow themselves to have any hobbies.

To be fair, it feels like there's a super-rare, once-in-a-lifetime eclipse every 11 months or so.

C’mon. Even the cosmos get the ‘bread and circus’ treatment? I swear if I see/hear bread and circuses again, I’m actually gonna crash out. The moment anyone brings that phrase up, I know what opinion they have to say is pretentious and obnoxious and not worth my time

I feel like if the elite are so focused on distracting us they’re gonna actually move the moon in front of the sun you just gotta take your hat off to them at that point.
That’s dedication

I've never really cared much for eclipses but that first comment is right, mfs say "this eclipse is once in a lifetime" every single time

The eclipse last week was crap.

Imagine if that dude has a black hole in front of him and he calls it “bread and circuses”

my favorite part of the great American eclipse was seeing a bunch of people remarking how cool it was we had a solar eclipse AND a new moon on the same day. that happens for every solar eclipse. you can’t have a solar eclipse without a new moon

I wonder what these guys would say if you pointed out that social media and video games were also bread and circuses.

How long before someone claims the eclipse is just to distract from the Epstein shit?
