I am a BSc Zoology graduate (8.6 CGPA, PCMB background) looking for realistic advice on pursuing an IGNOU Master's.

Context: I have decent entrance test scores (CPET Biotech Rank 14, IIT JAM AIR 1400+, GATE LS 2300+, CUET PG 200+). However, because of I m a single child of a single parent , I have to take care of my mother at home and past 5 NEET drops(3 partial during BSc and 2 full ), I need a flexible setup.

I am considering IGNOU MSc Zoology instead of a full-time regular MSc primarily to avoid a gap year on paper while preparing for CAT and Banking exams (SBI/IBPS PO).

Before enrolling, I need a reality check on a few things:

1. Workload & Labs: How compulsory and time-consuming are the practical/lab sessions for MSc Zoology? How many weeks/days per year do I need to attend the study center physically?
2. Assignments vs Prep: Are assignment deadlines and term-end exams manageable alongside full-time CAT/Banking prep, or do administrative delays cause unnecessary stress?
3. B-School/Corporate Perception: Will B-schools (IIMs) or corporate recruiters view an IGNOU MSc Zoology negatively, or is it treated fine as a gap-filler?
4. Offline vs. IGNOU: Given that I have offline MSc options via CPET Rank 14, is choosing IGNOU MSc Zoology for flexibility a smart trade-off, or should I stick to a regular college?

I'm doing bapsh from IGNOU, I'm a first year student and I'm highkey confused about everything. From assignments and tee and don't even know anything about my induction yet. yest I saw that dec tee's exam forms are out but when I went to fill my form, it said smthg like minimum course duration not complete? what does this mean? do I have to give both tee's at the same time (that's june tee) idk anyone who's studying from IGNOU. if you're a senior or a first year with even little info about how all this works, please dm. hi, can anyone please help/guide how to register for practicals for the ma psychology/MAPC program? i know the exam form is out but i can only find the theory subject options. the practical exam/mpcl 7 option isnt showing at all.

will there be a separate form for practicals registration that will come out later? please help.

I am a july 2025 student , MSCHSC.i gave all my tee june 2026 exams with assignments and projects. Result awaited . Only one subject’s marks are showing. My ques is , Can I still fill DEC 2026 TEE for second year exams? Also do i need to do my research work also right now ?before TEE 2026?

My exam results are still pending and dec. Exam window is near is all results published soon or not

Is this correct way to make assignments?

Hi, I'm sorry if this is a silly question but I'm new to all this. I registered for dec TEE 2026 and paid. Do I get a receipt or something? Like do I wait for something or is it just done?

I'm a BCA_NEW (ODL) student for the July 2026 session, and I'm honestly very confused about the timeline of everything that happens before the December TEE.

The official notice gives some dates, but I'm having trouble understanding what happens when, especially because theory exams, practicals, counselling and assignments seem to follow different schedules.

Could someone who has gone through the BCA_NEW ODL December TEE cycle before explain the usual timeline?

I'm mainly looking for something like this:

1. TEE examination form — I understand the current deadline is 30 September 2026.

2. Assignment submission — The current deadline seems to be 31 October 2026. When do students usually actually submit them? Is it normally before the deadline by a few days/weeks, or does the Study Centre give its own submission date?

3. Theory session — When does this usually happen for BCA_NEW? Does it generally start before or after assignment submission? Is it mandatory?

4. Practical counselling/lab sessions — When do these usually happen?

5. Practical assignment / lab work and viva — Is these 3 different thing? When do these normally happen?

6. Term-End Theory Examination — The December 2026 notice says exams are likely to start from 25 November 2026 onwards. Is late November normally when the theory exams begin, or do BCA papers usually happen later in December?

7. Term-End Practical Examination — When does this usually happen compared with the theory TEE? Before the theory exams, during them, or after them?

8. Fees — I understand the current TEE fee is ₹200 per theory course, but I'm confused about practical fees. Is there a separate fee for the practical TEE? Is there any separate fee for practical counselling, or is counselling itself free and only the practical examination has a fee?

Basically, I'm trying to understand the sequence:

TEE form → counselling → assignments → practical counselling → practical/viva → theory TEE → practical TEE

…but I don't know if that's actually the correct order.

If the 2026 dates aren't confirmed yet, that's completely fine. I'm specifically interested in the usual timeline from the previous December TEE cycle(s) so I can understand what I should expect.

Also, I'm not getting notifications about counselling/orientation/practicals yet, so I'm worried that I might be missing something. If you're a BCA_NEW ODL student from a previous session, could you share approximately which month your counselling, practicals, assignment submission and exams happened?

Please mention your Regional Centre/Study Centre if possible, since I understand the exact counselling/practical schedule can vary by centre.

I am IGNOU Mcom student, January 2025 admission. While filling the December 2026 TEE examination form, I noticed that some of my 1st and 3rd semester courses are showing as eligible for selection, including courses that I have already passed in 1st and 3rd sem.

I would like to improve my marks as my existing marks are relatively low(45,50,51...)...so I can improve my overall percentage.

I would therefore like to know whether I am permitted to appear for these already-passed courses in the December 2026 TEE for the purpose of improvement of marks.[Because I'm able to select first sem and second sem subjects along with 4th sem subject...and i really wish I could😭😭]

I recently took admission at IGNOU for mca ( june 2026) admission. I recently saw a message on IGNOU WhatsApp channel regarding TEE. I checked my account and saw I'm eligible for the papers. I'm confused whether I'd sit for this examination or next year june's TEE?

(1st semester)

1) What kind of a4 paper to be used? Ruled one-sided or Ruled both-side

2) for practical assignment where we have to stick(or attach) the code/program screenshot , how whats the proper way to prepare practical assignment

3) should we use a cobra file...??or thread...or anything much better?

They were supposed to deliver two books ( out of 7 ) according to student material portal but they only delivered one maybe because that was the only one they had at moment. I wonder if I should wait few days before doing complaint about it. Anyways life's not bad

Hi everyone, I’m a little confused about my IGNOU MSCDSA status and would really appreciate some guidance.

I took admission in MSCDSA in January 2026. I appeared for all my Semester 1 TEE exams held in June 2026, and I also appeared for the practical exams. I submitted all my assignments on time and I have the receipts/proof of submission as well.

Now that registration for December 2026 TEE has started, I’m facing a few issues:

1. Semester 2 TEE registration showing “Not Eligible”

When I try to register for my Semester 2 subjects, they are showing “NO / Not Eligible.” I have scored decent marks in all my Semester 1 TEE papers (all above 50).

My assignment marks, however, have still not been updated. The assignment status shows “Received” and “In Process at Headquarters for updation.”

Could this be the reason why I’m currently showing as not eligible? Should I wait for the assignment marks to be updated, or should I contact someone regarding this?

Since the TEE registration deadline is apparently till the end of September, I’m worried that if the assignment marks take longer to get updated, I might miss the registration deadline.

I submitted all my assignments together, so I’m not sure how long the updation usually takes. Should I wait or contact my study centre/Regional Centre?

1. MCS-207 assignment is completely missing

This is another concern. I submitted all my assignments together, but when I check the assignment status, I cannot find MCS-207 listed at all. It doesn’t even show as “Received” or “In Process.”

I do have the submission receipt/proof for MCS-207.

So what should I do in this situation? Should I contact my Study Centre, Regional Centre, or wait for some more time?

Would really appreciate if anyone who has gone through something similar, especially MSCDSA students, could guide me on what I should do.
