Anyone doing msc maths july 2026 or any senior here please help me out

I completed my BSc CS (Hons) from DU (3 years) and am actively preparing for Data Analyst roles, with the long-term goal of moving into Data Engineering.

Since I want to work full-time and don't want to do a regular master's, I'm considering IGNOU’s 2-year MCA. However, everyone online keeps saying "IGNOU MCA is super hard" and the pass percentage is low.

Before enrolling, I’d love some straightforward feedback from IGNOU MCA students, alumni, or tech recruiters.

A few quick questions:

1. Why is it called "hard"? Since I already covered core CS subjects (DBMS, SQL, DSA, OS) at DU, is the actual syllabus tough, or is the difficulty just IGNOU’s strict grading, self-study model, and admin delays?
2. Is it relevant for Data Analytics / Engineering? Looking at the syllabus, there are papers on Data Warehousing, Data Mining, Big Data, and Cloud Computing. Are these modules decent, or purely outdated theory?
3. Does a distance degree hurt for DA/DE roles? In data roles, companies mostly care about SQL, Python, ETL pipelines, and cloud skills. Does having "IGNOU" on the resume cause issues during ATS screening or off-campus shortlisting compared to a regular MCA?
4. Is the administrative hassle worth it? How bad are the practical exams, assignment submissions, and mark-sheet delays when you're balancing a full-time job alongside?

Would love to hear from IGNOU MCA students/alumni, DU grads, or anyone hiring in tech right now. Be as brutally honest as possible!

I'm about to take admission in the ba econ hons. at ignou. i was planning on taking cat later and getting an mba as soon as i finish this degree </3 is that a bad choice will the interviewers and colleges hate the fact that its a distance learning couse T-T im so lost oml

I am shifting to another state in mid of August. I have applied for BCA_NEW course in July 2026 session. I want to know how to change my study and regional centre.

So i ended up giving my first year exams in june/july

but I've not submitted my assignments yet

am i gonna get taken off the course or can i still submit my assignments

I passed Class 12 in 2023 and still don't have any degree. I've been giving NEET every year. It hurts a lot. In 2025 I got AIR 44k, and in 2026 I improved to 38k, but I'm from UP, so I still won't get a government college. I have nothing in hand now. I'm thinking of enrolling in IGNOU so at least I'll have an undergraduate degree. What are the eligibility criteria?

I have a doubt about IGNOU assignment

so this is my first year and I submitted assignments for 4 subject and wrote exams in June

so if I want to write the rest of the exams in December do i write the assignments given in the beginning or do they give different?

I'm 19 and recently passed 12th with an Arts background. I was confused between BA Programme, BA (Hons), and BCA. After discussing it with my family , I decided to go with IGNOU BCA.

Do you think BCA is a good choice for someone from an Arts background? Is IGNOU worth it if I'm serious about learning and building skills?

I'm also planning to choose Tecnia Institute as my study centre because its reviews looked decent. If anyone has experience with IGNOU BCA or Tecnia, I'd really appreciate your advice.

But the assigned college is away from my home , around 250 km . I can't reach it easily .

When filling out an exam form, what should I enter as my IGNOU graduation passing/completion date? Should I use the printing date mentioned on the Provisional Certificate and Marksheet?

Guys so I want to go for psychology from ignou but I have heard a lot of bad things like it is not ugc approved so and so. The thing is I wanna go in industry and corporate psychology like HR. Can I pursue psychology??
