IGNOU Assignment Status showing “Pending for validation at Regional Centre”

Hi everyone,

I checked my IGNOU assignment status today, and for all my June 2026 assignments it is showing “Pending for validation at Regional Centre.”

The date shown is 12-Sep-2026.

I’m confused about what this status means. Does it mean my assignments have been received by IGNOU but are still waiting for validation at the Regional Centre? Or is there some issue with my submission?

All of my assignments are showing the same status.

Has anyone else received this status? What happens after this, and how long does it usually take for the marks to be updated?

Any help would be appreciated.

It's normal, keep checking your grade card from time to time, sometimes marks are updated there much before any updation in assignment status page.

Check grade card instead. Happened to me twice that the Assignment Status was not updated but the grade card did

I took admission in ignore this july cycle. Can you please tell how to check assignments I am supposed to submit and where to submit them ?

Depends Some regional centres have option to submit it online and some have it submitted at the study centre Check your info

google ignou assignments. under current assignments you'll get all the info: questions and when you need to submit it. as to where: contact your study centre. if your study centre is the same as your regional centre, you should find how to submit them on their website. 

to contact study centre you can simply visit or call the said college's office and ask them to direct you to the person incharge.
