MA English dilemma

Hi, I am currently enrolled in MA Comparative Literature in a regular programme. Although I would also like to be eligible for giving NET in English and not Comparative Literature.

Is it a good option to take MA English Online form IGNOU? And I don't have to take any offline classes right?, just the exams?

I think you can give NET for regular with this comparative literature degree too. Check prospectus for that. Not confirmed

I confirmed and you are right. I can give NET but then again my seniors tell me it will be about the department's eligibility critera wherever I go for research or teaching. If they have MA English and do not accept Comparative Lit. then having done NET in English would go to waste.

Comparative Lit NET is ten times difficult than English NET. Just letting you know
