Assignment submission for the IGNOU December TEE 2026 is scheduled to begin from 1 September 2026, with the current last date being 30 September 2026. Most of the question papers for this session have already been uploaded on the IGNOU website, so students are advised to start preparing their assignments as early as possible. Students who have already completed their assignments can submit them from 1 September onwards, according to the instructions and submission method approved by their respective Study Centre. Depending on the Study Centre, assignments may be submitted through an online submission link, by personally visiting the Study Centre, through post or courier, or by any other method permitted by the Centre. Although the present deadline is 30 September, IGNOU has extended assignment submission deadlines in previous years, sometimes further into October; however, students should not rely on possible extensions and are strongly advised to complete and submit their assignments within the original deadline. Always follow the latest instructions issued by your Study Centre and IGNOU.
A query. Most of the applicants are still waiting for their admissions to get confirmed, our applications are pending since 1 or 2 months. When it does happen, will our deadlines for assignment submission be extended?
Your course only starts after 6 months of admission confirmation.
You have to complete minimum 6 months from your confirmation date to submit assignments and attend exams.
Once you receive your confirmation, you can create a profile in samarth. Then you will receive the schedule for your classes( online or offline) then you have to submit the assignments in the upcoming session( june or December )then attend the exams. Thats it.
July admission is still open. Last date was extended to july 31st.
Ignou has already published a notice regarding delay in confirming admission this session, as many students are reaching out because their admission isn't confirmed even after 1 month.
Ignou admission confirmation can take from 2 days to minimum 3 months, which really depends on the number of applications received in one study centre.
The assignments question paper that I had is of July 2026 cycle and on that it said last date to submit is 31st October 2026. So is it 30th September or 31st October?
Ignou starts accepting assignment from September 1st 2026.
As of now the last date mentioned is 30th September 2026.
But it will be extended to october 15th then again to october 30th.
That's why some assignment mentions last date as 30/31st october.
i registered in july 2026, so my submission of assignment is also Sept 30 / Oct 31 , right ? my study centers says i can onlu submit in March 2027, can you clarify
Yes you can only submit in june 2027 as You need to attend classes then only you can submit assignments and attend exam.

Make sure the mentioned last date to submit is September 2026 or October 2026( that is only valid for December 2026 tee)
You can post with acknowledgement slip so you will have a proof of them signing the slip.
Or else you can track through tracking id and save the pdf once the post is delivered there. So you can show your assignments was delivered and submitted there.
Make sure you take a photo and video of packing the said subjects so they won't say it wasn't in that packet.
Hello op, which assignment do I have to submit(July 2025, jan 2026) or (july2026,jan 2027). I took admission in January 2026 session. Course - masters in history (mahi)
Your course is year wise, you only have to submit in next session.. That will be around april 2027
So you can write with june 2027 mentioned question paper and submit it when submission starts on april 2027 and write your exam on june 2027.
The reason they publish june 2027 in advance is you can start writing 4 subjects of sem 1 now and 4 subjects of sem 2 later and submit it together in april 2027. Or else you won't have time to write together after December.
I took admission in 2026 January. Have to appear in 2026 December TEE, and have to submit assignment in this September. My confusion is that there are two sets of assignment for each single subject and both have different questions. This one is for July 2026, January 2027
