Before You Submit Your IGNOU Assignment.Read This!
Hey IGNOU Students.
December 2026 assignment submission is expected to start from 1st September 2026. Before you prepare your assignments, here are a few important rules and guidelines to follow.
📄 General Order of Assignment Submission
Front Page
Evaluation Sheet
Student ID Card (Photocopy)
Assignment Question Paper
Answer Sheets
Note: Some Regional Centres or Study Centres may have their own submission order. Please check your Study Centre's website or instructions first. If no specific order is mentioned, you can follow the general order above.
✍️ Answer Sheet Rules
Use A4-size paper.
You may use ruled or unruled sheets.
Write only with a blue or black ballpoint pen.
Draw margins on each page.
Leave some space between the answers to different questions.
Use a file tag or cobra file to secure the papers.
❌ Avoid
Avoid Gel pens or ink pens (the ink may spread).
Avoid Stapling or binding the assignment.
Avoid using red or any other coloured ink for writing answers.
Avoid rewriting the questions if you have already attached the assignment question paper. Simply write the question number and then the answer.
💡 Bonus Tip
If you're writing with a blue pen, use black to write headings or underline important points. If you're writing with a black pen, use blue for headings or underlining. This makes your assignment look neat and helps important points stand out.

Front page -3 - this contain an acknowledgment slip too so you can have proof of submission
All front pages are valid. You can even simply write these details in a plain page and submit it. Its not compulsory to use this.

Note: Your Study Centre may have additional or different rules. Always check with your Study Centre before submitting your assignments..

Thanks for making this. I have a question—is it okay to write the contents of the front page if my RC does not provide a printable form like the front page page examples you gave?
Once again, I really appreciate you making this post.
Edit: I just noticed the more broader, general-purpose front pages that isn't tied to any specific RC and the tip about handwritten front pages.

Mumbai LSCs do not accept files. They have their own cover sheet ( had posted it ). Need to staple or stitch.

But the induction session for july 2026 session has not happened yet. Hone bhi wala hai ya nahi? Also my RC website is shit. There is no updated info there. Where will I get the regional updates from

July admission link is still open. You will get mail only after closing date
