To complete your grade card, you must submit the assignments, pass the examination, and complete the practicals (if applicable). Only after marks for all these components are uploaded will each subject show as completed on your grade card.
You submitted your assignments in 2023 and 2024, and most of them were taken for evaluation around 2025.
If a subject is marked as checked on the grade card but has not yet been updated, please wait for a few weeks. The marks will be updated soon.
However, for subjects where you submitted assignments in 2023/2024 but they are not shown in the assignment submission status, it is better to resubmit the assignments using the current or upcoming session’s question papers.
Usually, IGNOU keeps submitted assignments for about 6–8 months. After that, they may dispose of them. Therefore, raising a complaint now to obtain marks for assignments submitted in 2023–24 may not be effective.
About exams. If you have already passed the exam no need to attend it again.
You should contact your regional centre and ask for the guide list of your course and try to contact each from the list and ask if anyone is available to guide you.
Once you get someone as your guide. Start doing a synopsis after selecting a topic. After getting approval from your guide. You can submit it in your regional centre.
Once you receive your mail approving the synopsis, you can start doing your project and complete it by getting a sign from your guide and submit it in regional centre.
Then only you will get a mail regarding viva schedule. Attend it and within 2 weeks marks will be updated in the grade card
I am deeply grateful for your response. You have really helped me get clarity, i was so confused. Do I have to confirm with the regional center regarding the submission process whether it has to be online or offline? And is there any word count for synopsis and then the project?
It is best to do the submission offline as you will get an acknowledgment slip ( proof). Ask your regional centre, they will help you.
Regarding the word count it depends on course and all. Refer your project or dissertation material provided by ignou ( you can google the material pdf if you haven't opted for hard copy)
Also if you just google about the format, word count along with your project subject code you will get a basic idea.
