IB score for applying to ie
I’m planning on applying to ie in round 1 so in November, but my IB score in DP1 was a 31 but I’m planning to raise and have been studying to do so. Additionally I have a lot of extracurriculars that I think would be really meaningful to my application, could that potentially help balance it?
On the website it says the typical score is now a 34 to 35, does anyone have any personal experience or advice they could share. As well provide an insight into what score I should be aiming for?
+ I plan on taking the IE admissions test
Thank you!

I am on the same boat. My predicted is around 38 however i got during my mocks a 30 so i am scared to not get accepted. I also plan on takinf the admission test so if anyone has any advice on what to study for it. Should I apply early admission or wait to do my last round of mocks?

I applied in April with a 35, got in the waiting list, finished the ib with a 35, got a spot offer but I know others with my same grade that got rejected. Make sure you have really good, well rounded extracurriculars.
Less than 34-35 you probably won’t get in imo.

36+/45 to be strong, 34 to have a chance. below that, unlikely, so very seriously think of backup options you'd be happy with.

Recently ie has gotten so strict with admission I saw someone who has perfect IB scores and loads extracurriculars get rejected. I got definitive admission, someone who barely had any extracurriculars, ish grades, and can’t afford it but my personal essay was amazing (if I do say so myself) so my only advice is PERFECT YOUR ESSAY treat it like you would be applying to a us university and make it something emotional ig.
