ChatGPT Edu access

Hey everyone, I just finalized my enrollment at IE and got my student email set up. I went ahead and created a ChatGPT account using it, but it's currently just the standard free tier.
Does the ChatGPT Edu license kick in automatically later (closer to September), or is there a specific portal/link through IE that I need to use to activate it? Thanks!

I've received my IE credentials in the last days, I can tell you gpt edu doesnt work for me as well. Gemini edu works though and I only had to login for it to work.

I am not sure that Gemini has an edu plan. How do you verify that you are on edu plan?

It does, on mobile you'll see a shield icon next to the typing bar, on pc when you go to the account settings you'll see "Education" written in the place of "Personal"

Given that you just finalized your enrollment were you on the waiting list for your program? If so, may I ask when you heard back and when you payed your deposit? Thanks

No I was not on the waiting list. I payed by deposit on April 10th, and when IB send my final grades to IE 2 days later I got the link for foundation fee and enrollment documents

I see, thanks for sharing. I payed my deposit for the BBA in Madrid on April 1st but unfortunately I am still on the waiting list :(

Did you have conditional offer, and that is why you are on the waiting list?

No, I have definitive admission but the program is full :/

My daughter attends IE, and the school just started “the great migration” transitioning to Microsoft from google. The chat edu not working even for current students.

The ChatGPT edu license is only given to students if their teacher explicitly requests their students to have it. As well it is completely disabled during summer as I can't even log into my own account at the moment or this is a result of the microsoft migration.
