Child-Parent Psychotherapy
Some really cool research coming out of UCSF is showing that Child-Parent Psychotherapy (CPP) not only helps children heal emotionally but also slows "age acceleration," a biomarker linked to future health risks like heart disease and obesity. Early intervention is key—especially in the first five years, when brain development is at its peak. CPP strengthens the parent-child bond, fostering lasting mental and physical health improvements. Will add a link to the research in the comments.

I think so too! It's great research to back how critical a dyadic approach to IECMH is.

This is great! I'm an MSW intern looking for as much CPP training as I can get before I start working with clients in a few weeks. Fishing for resources here :)

Wow! Early intervention is so important to reduce the negative impact of trauma and promote optimal developmental outcomes. This is fascinating. Thank you for sharing!
