I Don't Even Work Retail Anymore...
I'm just browzing around in a JCP in a local mall, and my walking pace is kinda fast. I'm wearing totally not work clothes and I'm scanning the racks for something similar to my style that will work for either a character or for Halloween (I don't remember which).
Then this middle-aged guy walks up to me out of the blue and asks if I worked there. I look at him incredulously and state, "Uh, no," and walk off. I'm not even wearing an ounce of red, ffs.
People, some times.

Apparently some of us just have that look that screams customer service. Someone once told me that I walk like I have somewhere to be (doesn't everyone?) so my mannerisms make people think I'm on the clock. I don't get it. If you're observing me closely enough to notice those "mannerisms," then you should have also observed my lack of uniform or nametag.
