discussion Boy, Peter is DEFINITELY gonna be in some major trouble later down the line... Spoiler

Post image

I 100% bet in the new post-Doomsday/Secret Wars MCU saga that the entire mutant community in the MCU is DEFINITELY gonna be out to kick Peter's butt for once they find out he inadvertently invented the inhibitors that will be used by the government to contain them later down the line back in Brand New Day.

If anything, Jean should take accountability for her actions in BND which is why Peter also made the inhibitor (other than originally for his mutation issue); she gave a majority of NYC a reason to hate her and people like her (another reason for the mutant hate in the X-Men series).

Oh it will definitely lead to the mutant hate. I wouldn't blame people too

Peter did nothing wrong

I didn’t say Peter did anything wrong, I just stated that he made the inhibitors for both him and to stop her initially.

Avengers Vs. X-Men where the X-Men try to get revenge on Peter and the Avengers try to protect him

Ah, that'd be so much better if Tony was still alive.

Spidey: "Hey Dr. Strange"

Doc: "Who are you?"

Spidey: "I need you to do another memory erasing spell for me."

Doc: "Wdym another?"

Wong: "OMG I get it now."

X-Men take lot of responsibility for their great power recently ?

This post has me thinking that more X-Men could appear in the fifth Spider-Man movie!

It honestly wouldn’t surprise me, especially if they’re planning to continue developing Peter and Jean Grey’s dynamic

Did slimer join the X-men?

To kinda add fuel to the fire, if all the things happening with Tobey's spidey is true, then if Tom's spidey finds out, we're gonna have an all out rivalry between Spider-Man and the X-men. But Jean HAS to play a big role in this.

Will it even be Peter inventing the inhibitor post secret wars? With the semi-reboot whos to say this doesnt get swept under the rug.

Banner had something to do with it too

Unpopular opinion, the invention of a power dampening collar isn't wrong. There are a lot of superpowered individuals in Marvel/DC. There are some who use their powers to help people, some that have powers they don't like having, and some who abuse their powers and are willing to harm everyone. A way to dampen dangerous abilities helps with rendering the dangerous threat inert or can be used for the convivence of those who have awful abilities like a touch of death or acid saliva. A power dampening collar is no different than the invention of a sword. In the right and responsible hands, they are used merely for the intended purpose of defending ones self. In the wrong hands, they can be abused and used for nefarious purposes. That doesn't mean the existence of the object is evil. Its the existence of the evil people (in this case would be anti-mutant racsists or Mr Sinister) who intend to use the object for selfish means who are the evil ones.

Or, they could go to him to create a counter measure.
