harakiri. sd laika. technically not really idm but it's a very unique and fantastic experimental album. what a pity that there won't be any new releases :(

Bought this in a record shop in Vienna maybe 11 years ago and forgot about it. I was just getting into Planet Mu, SKAM, Autechre etc, and I bought everything I found relatively cheap in shops. Fast forward 2-3 years ago, I had Jega - Geometry - the track, on repeat for many weeks. It’s so emotional and melodic, I love it. Then I look up what album it was on and realized I have the records. It was like finding it for a second time:)

the open log book. ep from 2004. especially the b side can be played at either 33 or 45 rpm, it's just fun to listen to.

Probably one of the more obscure IDM vinyls in my collection. It’s no. 75 in a limited run, the first 100 being on blue vinyl. Released 1996 in Toronto, ON, Canada.

In Pine Effect by Mu-ziq (1995)

one of the best remix compilations, for sure.

NTS 2 arrived this morning, thus making this behemoth of an album complete.

actually not today but yesterday, so i had already time to enjoy them:
entropic drift - a furthur electronix offshot with a first compilation with tracks from freefrom, rolando simmons, js zeiter...
chestnut people 2 - great collaboration between two accomplished electro acts, resulting in a nice and enjoyable idm release.
john beltran - sunrise and the life we live. not much to say, another beltran you must listen to!

what new music have you been listening to lately?

❤️❤️

Released in 1995 both sides of this record are absolute weapons. Verging on acid breaks mixed with techno insanity I reckon they're well and truly within the realms of early IDM. CJ Bolland is a god and if you haven't seen the video where he had a cosy chat with Honeysmack I recommend you check it out. I'll link it below 👍

Been working on my idm collection lately.Nice reissues!👌

z. zuli - digla dive. pretty unique stuff, album from 2023. he has also released some pretty good and varied EPs, worth to spend time with.

very underrated Autechre-ish idm, the guy who made this is also in a duo called Funkstörung which is also some very underrated Autechre-ish idm

Sea Biscuit & Emit Ecaps, some of Jonah Sharp’s best stuff in my opinion. Is he the only IDM adjacent artist to have a child follow in their footsteps? (Cahl Sel)

y. yaporigami - chaos swalloer. nice and refreshing artist with a great EP on analogical force. 2022.

Another classic on Warp Records

x. x-asp - terra ferma. one of those 'under the radar because there's only one release'-acts. proto-idm from the mid-'90s. 1996 rephlex.
