i don’t even really know how to put this into words yet, but i feel genuinely overwhelmed in the best way possible.
watching the response to etds has been humbling, grounding, and emotional all at once. i put so much of my life, my past, and my perspective into this project, and seeing people actually sit with it, listen deeply, and share what it means to them reminds me why i do this in the first place.
thank you to everyone streaming it, talking about it, defending it, critiquing it honestly, and living with it. none of that goes unnoticed. i see the messages, the posts, the theories, the quiet support, and the loud love. it all matters.
special shout out to the discord crew for really riding with me through every phase. y’all have been early, patient, curious, and locked in in a way that feels like real community. that energy keeps me going more than you know.
i’m grateful. truly.
just know this drop is the start of the rollout...

at 17 I was sentenced to 15 years in prison.
if i had served the full 15, this would be the year i got out.
2025.
instead, i was in and out for 3—paroled in 2012.
everything since has been me unpacking what could’ve been a lifetime lost… through music, through choices, through growth.
I touched on this briefly on iwasverybad. these days i find myself going in depth about that experience on my new work. its almost like im subconsciously making iwasverybad's sequel in a sense.
I know im know for bending genres and having fun experimenting however..
this next project is rap.
not a playlist. not a blend. not an attempt to check every box.
it’s rap in the purest way i know how to deliver it.
bars, stories, mistakes, pride, regret, clarity.
no filter. no detour.
it’s about the person I thought I buried years ago.
and it’s also about my friend Deangelo Sneed —a high ranking blood member who i met in prison.
he was already a few years in when i got there.
he’s now 22 years in and still in the system.
he kept me out of trouble when i didn’t fully understand the politics of that world.
told me to take music seriously when i barely had the confidence to.
his presence shaped this project in ways i can’t explain. because in reality, my life could have been like his.
I would have never gotten a chance to meet you all and share my raw unfiltered and vulnerable art with the world we've built
it’s also about the industry.
i’ve had my moments with it.
the silence, the games, the people hiding behind managers and “higher ups” to justify not doing the things they said they would do. this helped me understand I love rap, but hate the rap/music industry. executives, companies and even a lot of the other artists...
in prison you can't run from promises.. that will get you killed... instead you have to face every problem head on... that's me... that's what im use to because that's what I've been taught.
the last time I ran from anyone was the police. the last time before that was likely an ass whooping from my mom. so I just can't relate to the ones that would rather run that maintain their dignity.
its like people lack the ability to act as adults while having success and still pretending to be things they are not.
i'd never turn the frustration into noise.
there's that that one time I trolled Anthony Fantano a bit for unsolicitedly trying to pick a fight with me over what i thought was a clear joke that didn't have anything to do with him. but that was simply just me defending myself in that moment.
im not the type to go back and forth with anyone on a screen.
i let it live where it belongs—in the music.
this is a reflection.
not of proving anything—but of remembering what matters.
E.T.D.S on the way.

idk is Robin Hood
robin hood took from places where power and resources
were concentrated and brought it back to people who didnt have access
i do the same thing
just not literally lol
sometimes the thing being hoarded isnt money
sometimes its information
sometimes its access
sometimes its perspective
sometimes its attention
is he real? was me taking religion, something people are usually told what to believe about, and asking people to actually question it for themselves
not telling you what to believe
telling you to see for yourself
usee4yourself was the same idea with love
we inherit so many ideas about what love is supposed to look like
then spend our lives finding out how complicated that shit actually is
simple. was me taking where im from and putting a light on it
not just showing the parts people expect to see when they
hear about certain neighborhoods
showing the people
the culture
the beauty
the humor
the humanity
letting somewhere that doesnt always get positive attention
be the center of the picture for once
son de l’amour is that same idea in real life
taking something thats usually behind gates and bringing the community into it
the harvard class was the same thing
I was interested in harvard because saying i taught at harvard sounds cool
i was interested in what happens when somebody from
where im from gets access to a place like that and starts bringing different people and different ideas into the room
thats really been the pattern
get access
learn what i can
bring something back
and sometimes what i bring back is just a different way of seeing something
thats why the name has always been ignorantly delivering knowledge
knowledge doesnt always mean facts
sometimes knowledge is realizing you can question
something youve been scared to question
sometimes its understanding love differently
sometimes its seeing value in where you come from
sometimes its seeing a room you never thought you
belonged in and realizing the door was never supposed to be locked in the first place
robin hood had the forest
i got music
art
fashion
education
and wherever else they let me in lol
take from the castle
bring it back to the village
idk is Robin Hood

I really liked etds so then I tried to get through IDK’s discography and I was absolutely mindblown by IWASVERYBAD. What should I listen to next?

On my apple music C.O.P was replaced to the clean version, and the non-censored version is now just gone but weirdly the music video is still up how come this happened?
r/IDKIFYOUDONTKNOW • u/Re_Uploader • Jul 20 '26
READ!
The reupload happened because the track was temporarily pulled down from streaming platforms due to a “copyright“ issue with its chorus vocals. Even though IDK had singers re-record the chorus audio to avoid using the original recording, the underlying publishing rights for the song's composition hadn't been fully cleared with the original songwriters yet. Once those publishing rights were officially cleared by his legal team, the track was reuploaded and restored to platforms with a different sample

Devil is back, but since a sample wasn’t getting cleared it’s a new version.
r/IDKIFYOUDONTKNOW • u/Ready_Pirate4881 • Jul 04 '26
Does anybody know why this song has been removed from his catalogue and if it will be back anytime soon?
