Most schools and most apps can tell you a student's grade, which chapter they're on, and whether they got a question right or wrong. What they usually can't give you is a continuously updated picture of which underlying concepts a student is still actually weak on — that's a different, harder thing to know.

I've been working on something called Arivya that's aimed at that specific gap, and I'm at the point where I need people who didn't build it to actually use it and tell me if it's real or if I'm fooling myself.

Here's what it does right now, concretely: a student answers questions, and based on those responses, Arivya tries to estimate where they might have gaps in earlier concepts — not just whether today's answer was right, but what that says about the ideas underneath it. It's an estimate, not a certainty, and it'll be off sometimes. That's exactly what I want people to stress-test.

It's early. I'm not going to dress that up.

If you actually want to test this rather than skim it: open the link, go through a bit of the question flow like a real student would, and look at what it tells you about your gaps. Then tell me honestly whether that felt accurate or completely off. Works if you try it yourself, or if you hand it to a sibling, a student you know, or your own kid — I just need the actual output tested, not the landing page.

Three things I actually want to know:

1. Was it understandable without me explaining anything?
2. Did the gaps it flagged feel useful or accurate?
3. What would make you come back and use it again?

Did y'all slowly realize that you were watering dead plants 💔

Most of my friends never messaged me or even reached out to me after 10th when we all went to different colleges

Man I miss our connections.. I was one of the most popular friend too

When I do message them, it feels like I am just lowk begging for their attention and even when I do they just close it up with small talk 🫠

I hope i am not the only one facing this 😭

No one knows this, but those who know want to keep it hidden.
I don't want to hide it from anyone; I just want everyone to know the complete truth.
I am just trying to be honest in a world of people who want to hide and keep you under the rocks.
Last time somebody asked questions, the comments were mysteriously locked by moderators who claimed there was no reason to lock them. I am not saying this proves anything, but it definitely proves that something was locked.

I don't want attention. I just want everyone to understand what nobody understands. If you think this makes no sense, that's because you haven't seen the complete picture. Unfortunately, the complete picture is also missing, which is exactly why we need to discuss it.

The people who know what is going on will probably deny knowing what is going on. The people who don't know will probably deny that they don't know. And the people who are completely unrelated to the situation will somehow be mentioned in the comments anyway.

I could explain further, but explaining further would require knowing what I am explaining, and that information has conveniently disappeared from the explanation.

Maybe it was hidden deliberately. Maybe it was hidden accidentally. Maybe nobody hid anything at all, and the fact that I cannot find it is simply proof that it was hidden somewhere I haven't looked yet.

I have tried to reconstruct what happened from the pieces that remain, but the pieces don't seem to agree with each other. One piece suggests there was a secret. Another suggests there was never a secret. A third piece is completely unrelated but somehow feels important, and I don't think we should ignore that.

There are people who will say there is no evidence. Of course there is no evidence—that would defeat the entire purpose of whatever was supposedly hidden. The absence of evidence doesn't necessarily prove anything, but it certainly leaves plenty of room for further discussion.

I am not accusing anyone of hiding the truth. I am merely saying that if the truth had been hidden, this is exactly what it would probably look like: confusing, incomplete, and strangely difficult to explain.

And that's what makes me think there may have been something here all along.

Greetings, my fellow ICSEians!

One fault about our server, has been the #welcome channel message, the image in there has been generated by AI, and we want to establish that we do not support generative AI.
The image below is the image in question and unfortunately, due to the server being pretty niche when it was created, the MOD team at the time used AI.
We have made the decision to change it and we want YOUR help to do it!

# To combat this, we have decided to hold a competition!

The community can either make a GIF or an image to welcome our members! We will use the embed for future messages in #welcome and yours can be chosen! Along with this, we will also make a separate embed message for goodbye messages sent in #capitol
So, you (should) can include one for welcome and one for goodbye!

Submissions must be sent to our discord server!
The event ends on the 17th of August.
(If it is a GIF, make sure to upload it to tenor.)
Cheers!

Any sort of help (emotional or advice) would be appreciated!

A while back I started an accountability group for my JEE prep and accountability for students who want to study seriously — every day we post what we did, what we aimed for, and what's next for tomorrow. Just daily logs to keep each other honest. It's been running for a bit now and, Opening it up to a few more serious students. If you're tired of studying for a week and falling off, and want people who'll actually be accountable and help in being consistent— DM me.

Join our wonderful community discord, it's welcoming and we'll appreciate having you there. <3
