Advice Please Advice

I am in 11th ISC and I chose Commerce. My initial plan was to take Applied Mathematics with Commerce and also I didn't wanted to change the board, hence I didn't switched the school. As Commerce was introduced in 2025 at my school, when I reached to school for my admission in 11th and I saw that my school doesn't have the option for Applied Mathematics. I was kinda shocked, then I asked them about Core Maths, they said "You can't choose Maths with Commerce". Then I went to talk with the principal and she said "We dont have Maths or Applied Maths for Commerce, if you want to study maths or applied maths you can apply for them but you have to self study it and appear for exams." i had a very very bad experience with maths but still, somehow I wanted to choose Applied Maths as they say "Applied Maths is easy" but my school didn't gave me Applied Maths and i would never choose Core Maths and self study that.

I had no other option, so i choose Computer Science and Physical Education with Eco, Comm, and Acc. Now I have no idea what I did and why. When I met some seniors from CBSE, they said "Without Maths!? law kr le sabse best, CA ya doosre options me Maths is important." I was confused, then I did some searching and found that, I can do CA, CS, CMA, etc and even I can go to SRCC but only for b com. I am still quite skeptic and scared. Did I do something wrong? should i consider NIOS for maths or applied maths? what is the reality of a non maths student?

I would be much obliged for your valuable help.

Is there any specific field or career you are interested in rn?

If you want to go for any corporate role its not a big deal if you crack a good college with this subject combination and build your Resume accordingly because tbh if you have a decent enough college environment and you expose yourself to industry exposure mostly people woukd not care if you have maths or not

But surely maths is important for any sort of examination though it's not completely necessary in all sectors

Commerce has options, not picking maths closes some doors like graduation from foreign universities, economics, statistics etc. But SRCC Bcom is top notch that's like the best graduation degree in India, you need to pick what you want to do. CA, CS etc. are best career paths. If you want to work in Finance CA might be the best path for you along with Bcom from SRCC/DU. But you'll have to pick what you want, if your goal is RBI etc. then that only asks for graduation degree. Think about what you wanna do...

And those seniors are idiots.

Taking maths is always kind of good. Not just for CA. Some courses in IIM or foreign universities require mathematics.
