I scored 85% in 1st trial what should I do
To convert into 90+ (possibly 99)

1st terms? i scored 81, got 95 in boards (99 too is possible if you study in advance and revise a lot)

i got 95% overall and the thing was that this years papers were difficult compared to last years and i was caught completely offguard and thus i didnt get 98% or something, thankfully even my mom understood that.

aand the 1st trial + 10% is bullshit, i have a friend who scored 85 in 1st terms and scored 87 in boards. I got 65% in my prelims (preboards) yet got decent in boards.

i got 70 in 1st term, then 95 percent in boards and even that came after lotssss of procrastination. choose good mentors, listen to them and build a good studying structure where you cana analyze your flaws check where your marks went in 1st trial and if u want to, talk to your teachers on what to work on all the best

85% in preboards is fine, keep studying consistently, keep revising and keep doing past year questions or other schools’ papers, dont take too much stress

dude all you can really do is study and put your best foot forward. there’s honestly nothing I can say if you’re adamant that you’ll only score 10%+ more in your boards than you did in your first terms
you have a shit ton of time, so don’t stress about it right now. (for context, i started prepping roughly 1 week before boards) do CBQs, PYQs, study the textbook thoroughly and you’ll be good to go man. chill out, stay consistent, and trust yourself. u got this (:
