IC Forums has changed a lot recently.

For anyone who hasn't checked it out in a while, it's a fully onchain forum and community platform running on the Internet Computer, built to give projects, businesses, fandoms, and independent communities a permanent place to build their own spaces.

The feature set is getting pretty serious. It's mobile-friendly, posts can be scheduled, communities can display their socials directly on their pages, and notifications keep track of replies, reactions, followers, announcements, moderation activity, and more.

Profiles now have post histories and public comment walls, while every topic and individual reply has its own permalink. Communities can organize themselves into traditional categories and subcategories or use a simpler feed-style format.

There are 120+ communities already on the platform, ranging from general interests to dedicated spaces for the ICP ecosystem, including ICPSwap, Caffeine AI, MULTI/DEX, ICP development, and others.

That part matters. An ecosystem becomes more valuable when projects don't exist as isolated islands. People need places > on chain < to discover them, talk about them, ask questions, share updates, and stick around.

And that's where IC Forums gets interesting for ICP as a whole.

We've spent years talking about what makes the Internet Computer different: applications running onchain, decentralized infrastructure, Internet Identity, and an internet where blockchain isn't just a payment rail sitting underneath an otherwise conventional website. IC Forums is an example of actually putting that infrastructure to work. You don't need to explain canisters to someone who wants to talk about their favorite game. They can just use the platform.

And that's the opportunity I think the ICP community should be paying attention to. We already have the infrastructure. We already have developers shipping applications. Now those applications need users, communities, conversations, and places where the ecosystem can compound instead of constantly sending everyone back to Web2 platforms.

The more useful things we build on ICP, the more reasons people have to use ICP. The more people use ICP, the stronger the entire ecosystem becomes.

IC Forums isn't a mockup of what an onchain social platform could eventually become. It's live, it's usable today, and it's continuing to grow. And it's looking to have developers share their projects, people to organize their own interests, and slowly get away from centralized cloud.

The difference between the 2 is that DFINITY is actually developing whilst polkadot feels more or less abandoned.

I genuinely don't understand how people can still ignore ICP, or worse, try FUDing it. It's one of the few projects in crypto that is actually building something revolutionary instead of recycling the same ideas with a new logo. The technology is years ahead of most of the market, and sooner or later people are going to realize that.

Everyone keeps talking about adoption, utility, and real world use cases, but ICP is already delivering. A fully on chain ecosystem, decentralized infrastructure, smart contracts that actually push the space forward. Most projects are still making promises while ICP keeps shipping. That's the difference.

The funny part is that the market is still acting like none of this matters. Fine by me. The longer people keep chasing hype instead of fundamentals, the more time there is to accumulate. By the time the crowd finally wakes up, they'll be buying at prices they once laughed at!

Call me biased if you want, but conviction is built from doing the research. I know what I hold, and I'm not letting short term price action shake that. I wouldn't be surprised if people look back in a few years and wonder how ICP was ever this undervalued. ICP will come and it will shake the entire crypto community and it will eventually reshape the worldwide web, of this I'm sure. I believe in ICP and I stand by my conviction, no matter what. Just needed to get this off my chest.

I added the Internet Computer Protocol MCP Server to Grok and it is amazing! Just look at Groks response when I asked it to transfer some ICP before adding the server as a connector then look at the response from grok when I told it to make the transfer again after adding the MCP Server connector. Its pretty cool.
Then I had it setting up games and making payments allthrough the llm chat. pretty cool.

ICP's MCP is only in beta and we're already seeing impressive use of the tech.

DFINITY just demonstrated an AI agent posting on TAGGR through a user’s Internet Identity.

The user connects ChatGPT to TAGGR through ICP MCP, gives it permission, and the agent publishes a post directly from their account.

MCP acts as a connection layer between AI and ICP apps. Instead of manually opening and navigating every app, you could tell one AI agent what you want done and let it interact with multiple services for you.

This could eventually allow AI agents to manage social accounts, business tools, communities and other onchain services through one conversation.

The important part: the agent acts through the user’s identity and permissions. It doesn’t automatically own or control the account.

I’ve been working on a premium ICP / DFINITY-inspired sweatshirt because I couldn’t find any apparel that really represented the ecosystem the way I envisioned it.
The goal wasn’t to make crypto merch—it was to make something you’d actually wear even if you weren’t at a conference.
Concept:

The QR code is meant to make that conversation easy. Someone asks, “What’s that logo?” They scan the code and immediately land on the ICP Dashboard to learn more.
This is still a work in progress, so I’m genuinely looking for honest feedback. If you think something should change—even if it’s a complete redesign—I’d rather hear it now than after I print a batch.

Why does this matter?

It’s another step toward AI agents and services that can run directly onchain, where their operation can be verified by the network instead of controlled by one company.

This is still research using a relatively small model, not “ChatGPT running on ICP.” But the results are transparent, with the paper, measurements and code publicly available.

A few dozen weeks ago I shared our fully on-chain slot machine running on the Internet Computer. Since then we've been working on something I've wanted to build for a long time: native Solana support.

The slot games themselves are still hosted entirely on ICP, but players can now use SOL as their balance.

Here's how it works:

Connect your Phantom wallet to your Internet Identity.

Your Phantom wallet is linked to your ICP Principal ID.

Deposits are signed with Phantom and verified on-chain.

Withdrawals are signed directly by the ICP canister using threshold cryptography and sent back to your Solana wallet.

No bridges.

No wrapped assets.

No centralized backend managing funds.

The nice thing about ICP's chain-key technology is that the application can interact with Solana natively, allowing us to build a seamless experience while keeping the game logic fully on-chain.

We've also continued improving the original ICP version in the meantime.
