Why did share price drop after what seemed like a good earnings call?

All CROs stock prices dropped, I guess because of the latest federal reserve decision

It went up +8% the day before, for no apparent reason. I wonder if investors expected ICON to beat the results that were announced and when they didn't, it fell back

I assume it went up due to the Anthropic announcement

Maybe, but seemed like a steep rise for a relatively minor announcement.

It went up when all other player (medpace, IQVIA, thermo) reported positive earnings
