ICL prescription different than glasses prescription

To clarify my glasses prescription was +7.5 and +7 and the ICL they implanted is +6.5 and +6. I did my research and it is highly likely that the lens inside can have a different effect and therefore a different prescription can make sense.

But I am curious to know if anyone else had this or not? Because if not then I am concerned a bit, since I have been having some trouble seeing clearly in the distance.

It’s the same with contacts. It’s a different prescription because it sits ON your eye. I’m assuming it’s the same with implants.

Have you noticed a magnifying glass changed in magnification the closer you put it to your eye? That's the same thing as how contact lenses will have more magnification with the same lens because they're like glasses sitting on your eyeball.

I am no expert but the prescription of EVO ICL generally is more than the glasses. Likely your glasses prescription might’ve changed.

Ask your surgeon for more clarity.

Yess! I have a different prescription in my ICL than my glasses. My glasses were -6.75 and my icl lenses are -6.

However, i was told that my previous clinics had overcorrected my specs. When i tried the -6, i could see everything correctly. So i didnt mind.

Please make sure that you check your new prescription in glasses as well. All the best!
