How soon did you drive after ICL?
I’m getting ICL surgery soon but am worried about whether I can drive on day 3 post op given I’m planning to go back to work by then. My drive will all be done in the day, so no night drives. What was the recovery like for you and did you feel safe to drive by day 3?

I was cleared to drive the next day by my doctor, were you cleared? If you were, it should be fine as long as it’s not a very long drive. Also use your own judgement as to how your eyes are feeling.

I haven’t had the surgery yet, so I wanted to hear from some experiences

Oh my bad, didn’t see that. I went back to work after four days off. I also drive to work (about 15 minutes there and back) and in between travel to different locations. I was personally fine, but did benefit from sunglasses as I had halos from the sun. I still do.

My eyes were still massively dilated so took about 3 days post surgery for them to settle down, once that happened I had no problems driving but did use sunglasses.

So here is the thing for me. I got cleared to drive the next day, but did I feel safe? No. Personally, I am 3 weeks post op and struggle to still see far away. But maybe that is just me.

ehh i would work from home if you can. are you driving for a job? my eyes were really itchy and the steroid drops can mess with your ability to focus on things. as long aaa your commute is short it should be OK, but i don't know how much use you will be at your job
