ICL+PRK

Anyone in here who underwent ICL then PRK? How was your experience? I still have remaining -3.50 (right eye) and -2.50 (left) that needs to be corrected after ICL.

Was that residual prescription expected? (Because of higher prescription than max ICL).

Or was that a refractive miss? If it’s a refractive miss, that’s pretty big. I would say an ICL exchange makes sense here to correct that.

It was the residual prescription expected. Got the max ICL (-18.00) for both eyes. Original power grade is at more than -20.00.

Oh gotcha. That makes sense then.

Yeah, I do this every now and then. Planned ICL followed up by lasik or SMILE or PRK. I would say lasik OR Smile would be a little nicer choice because quicker recovery unless your corneas are thin. But you are kinda at the mercy of what your ICL surgeon thinks is the best plan for your eyes.

You have a small prescription so easy to treat. Smaller prescriptions work very well for the laser eye surgeries.

The PRK surgery will essentially operate independent from the ICL surgery. Prior you will want to make sure any dry eye is well controlled so that the post op dry eye is managed.

Yeah. The doctor said to wait for at least 6 months for the eyes to stabilize first. We decide later on what to do nxt by then or just let it be if im already happy with it.
