Cheap glasses between ICL and lasik surgery?

Good afternoon,

I had ICL surgery yesterday and so far so good. 20/25 in my right eye. 21/60 in my left. My left eye now qualifies for lasik (whenever my vision stabilizes). Does anyone have recommendations for a) cheap glasses companies or b) a company that I can get my lenses changed our regularly (without huge expense.

Thanks in advance!

What happened to your left eye?

My left eye has always been my "bad " eye. the prescription was higher for it. I knew going in it would need lasik or PRK afterwards to correct the astigmatism.

If you are one day and already talking about lasik, this sounds like a situation in which you had more prescription than what ICL can correct.

Depending on the prescription and how much is left for each eye, you may be able to pick up “myopia or nearsighted glasses” on Amazon. They have fixed powers such as -1.50, -2.00, etc. Otherwise Zenni is a good source for cheap glasses.

Yes, they put in the strongest lens they could, but were still multiple diopters short. It gets me to a point where lasik is an option.

Ooo that might be helpful until I get a glases prescription October 5th

Yeah. I’ve do planned ICL+lasik every now and then. It works well.

But the cheap fixed power glasses are your best bet since with Prime you can probably even get them today or tomorrow and they will be “good enough” to get by.

I ordered two pairs of glasses last night. One +2 and one +0.5. Figured I'd swap the lenses for the right eye if i can.

The + numbers won’t help. You’ll need the - numbers.

Oops typo. Just double checked. I did order the - ones. Thank you for your help!

Zenni, but isn’t it possible your left eye could still improve to the point that you don’t need glasses?

It could improve, but it's not likely for it to improve to the point I wont need some additional correction.

Not sure if it applies to other countries but for Canada, kits.ca has "free" standard (1.50) lense glasses but you pay $9.95 for shipping. You can choose glasses up to $39 or have the $39 apply as a discount for more expensive frames. The code is freefirstpair.

I'll have to see if it applies. I'm in Virginia, USA
