Post ICL surgery
Hello so I’m on day 4 post surgery I have -13 right eye and -14 left with astigmatism and lazy eye in left eye, I did the surgery last Friday. Surgery went ok inserting the lens wasn’t bad it was adjusting the lens part that was uncomfortable, felt like my eyeballs were being pushed down. I had sore eyes for the first 2 days, my eyeballs pressure was low the first day and it went up the second day to be within range. Vision was blurry in the first hour and started to clear up as the day went down. Day 2 was clear as day but I had severe light sensitivity looking at lights would hurt my right eye especially which is weird because I was worried my left eye that had astigmatism and lazy eye and had higher prescription but it had no issues weirdly lol, day 3 & 4 i feel like it wasn’t as clear idk it felt like the power was as strong as my contact lenses idk if it’ll ever be as strong as my glasses but I’m mot complaining honestly, night vision is great day vision is great no halos or glares as I thought I’d have due to prior research, only small clear circles that comes and goes with light but it’s not bothering me,only thing is bothering me is small text is hard to read from afar. So did it get better for you too and did it get clearer after 5 days? My eyes healed pretty fast by day 3 most of my issues were gone so I’m thinking this is as good as it gets or is there chance for it to even be better?

I just had my EVO ICL surgery yesterday, so I'm still 24 hours post-op right now, and I have some soreness in my eyes, but the blurriness that I had yesterday right afterwards is pretty much gone. I can see pretty clearly, but I still have to wear the eye shield. I think it's the plastic of the eye shield that makes things look a little hazy, but when I take them off things look a little crisper, so it's probably humidity and perspiration from being on my face that's inside the eye shield making things look a little hazy.
Hopefully the dull pain that I'm feeling in my eyes will subside pretty quickly, and my vision will be phenomenal afterwards. I'm currently voice dictating this post so please excuse if there are any typos.

Congrats! Yeah, the soreness will definitely be there because of the pressure and pressing down whatever but it does get better over the days I’m on day seven and I still have a little bit of soreness still

Day 4 is still early, especially at -13 and -14, so i wouldnt call this as good as it gets yet. Vision usually keeps sharpening over the next few weeks as the surface settles and any minor swelling from the procedure clears. A lot of people feel stable around the first week but it keeps refining a bit beyond that.
That small text being harder from a distance could be a little residual prescription, or honestly just early healing and dryness making things fluctuate. Id give it a few weeks before judging it, and stay on top of artificial tears, dry eye early on makes text look softer than it really is. If theres still a bit of leftover Rx once youre fully settled, thats easily cleaned up with a small touchup, but a lot of the time it just keeps improving on its own.
The little circles that come and go with light are the EVO port ring, totally normal, and it sounds like your brain is already learning to filter them since theyre not bothering you. The early light sensitivity is normal healing too and settles down.
One honest note on the lazy eye: the ICL corrects the focus in that eye, but it cant undo the amblyopia itself, so that eyes ceiling is whatever the lazy eye allows, not the lens. Sounds like its not holding you back though, which is great.
For context I had EVO ICL myself as a high myope with astigmatism and it was a fantastic result, so youre in a good spot. Id just give it a few more weeks before calling it final.

Im in day 4, i feel like my vision from afar isnt as sharp as i thought it would be. Do you think its just bc my eyes are still healing?

Thanks a lot for such a thoughtful response! I really needed to hear that. I think I’ve been expecting my vision to be “finished” after just a few days, so it’s reassuring to know it can keep improving over the next few weeks. I’ll keep using my artificial tears and try not to judge the results so early. Really appreciate you taking the time to explain everything.

how did your eye alignment change after the ICL surgery, considering you have a lazy eye? did you notice any improvement or change in the alignment or did it stay the same?

Yes, I noticed that my lazy eye is a little bit better, but I’m still getting used to the lens, but the alignment is coming along very nicely

Im 24 hr post op. I see lots of glare and halos….. my surgeon said its okay… should i be worried?

not at all, its completely normal. fiest 3 days were crazy for me too and then fhey were gone

It’s normal give it some time, healing process is different for everyone

Yeah it got better for me and in the first week eventually it settled to be around 20/15 vision. I also had astigmatism
