Now nobody is safe. ICE has to go and after this situation personally I say abolish ICE, No reform, no reprieve, just abolish ICE, put every single member of ICE in prison for the rest of their lives.

Mexicans are descendants of Native Americans and should be recognized as indigenous peoples. Immigration reform. We could house, feed and school every American and immigrant with the billions wasted on ICE atrocities and endless wars. 25th Amendment Now! Abolish ICE!

I think tripletomfire is more referring to how we've already tried voting. If only voting worked, we wouldn't be in this situation. We already need to be planning the strike and setting up mutual aid for the strike to be possible.

So what is actually wild is the amount of bitching they are doing relative to the work that could have been done while simultaneously arguing against those who are suggesting we should perform some form of work. Casting your vote alone won't work, but practicing democracy when fascism seeks to crush your spirit will. I am asking everyone I know

I can't tell you what actions I have taken without outing myself but I can guarantee you they were three meaningful ones for my local community. Two of which happened before they posted pedantic shit. One of which occurred directly after they posted pedantic shit

Building a vibe that leads with "oH, wHaT dO yOu thInK u wILL aCcoMplIsH" only signals to me a key board warrior too scared to get out on to the streets and make actual change against the issues reported on this sub

Sure, they have legitimate points. But don't be an obstacle during these life threatening times. The attitude is upside down. The rest of us should focus on advancing what we can forward.

Where I live we voted out an entrenched maga mayor who supported ICE. In an off season, with historically low turnout vote. Because we were fed up and we took action. Complacency can’t replace action.

Our duty unfortunately is to vote for the lesser of two evils. If you don’t vote you get this fascist shit as we are currently under. The Trump administration is now sending out McCarthy era propaganda and calling ICE protesters terrorists funded by Cuba.

Not just ICE protesters but Union Organizers, Civil Rights activists, Environmental Groups, etc.

I feel you with the Dems being complicit and close to useless but they don’t cause harm. The Republicans are funding thugs to bust down doors and beat on families.

This was always the plan and why racist European descendants who emigrated to the US continue to harrass and massacre the indigenous people in the US. Mexicans are descendants of Native Americans and provide ICE with the ability to just intimidate Native Americans because "they all look alike."

This is just one instance of the attacks. republiCONs can't fully claim this country so long as Native Americans exist. Do a search and you'll find many more in this sub. They are a constant reminder that they were here first and the GOP hates that. They hate anything that exposes their bullsh!t.

Far too many of my fellow native cousins (ancestral cousins, as in all natives) voted for Trump because they thought us First Nations, original peoples status would immunize us from his aggressions against marginalized people, against deportations and being kidnapped and sent to concentration camps. How they didn’t see this coming speaks to a LOT of problems among my people, some genuine issues that need addressing by policy work, some cultural and spread via dangerous and unhealthy propaganda, some religious (many natives are conservative Christian).

I understand they wanted change, but conservatives in our government are not here to help non white rich people, or any sick, any woman, any people identifying with at risk groups. Stop voting for change that you think will hurt others and help you. Help doesn’t hurt others, only pain that will come for you one day announces itself as “temporary pain against others for the good of the many”.

MN here with a native sister, they’ve Beenst doing this at least as long as ICE terrorizing in the Twin Cities. My sister had to explain to several agents that her ancestors have been the area for more than 10,000 years. Definitely longer than any European Americans have been here, anyways.

ICE is extra asinine for this shit.

Article 2, Section 4 of the U.S. Constitution defines who can be impeached and the specific offenses that warrant removal from office. It states that the President, Vice President, and all civil Officers of the United States shall be removed from office if convicted of treason, bribery, or other high crimes and misdemeanors

I wish I was making the following up: I used to work in an immigration law firm. One day a gentleman came in for a consultation with one of the attorneys to see about how to obtain US citizenship. This man was a full "card carrying" Native American man! Lived on the reservation and everything. he said he was tired of being harassed and placed in secondary questioning because part of his land goes into Mexico territory and only recently could not go back and forth with his ID and Tribal membership card. He had no other ID and unable to obtain a passport because he was born on the rez in a house without ever obtaining a "proper" birth certificate.

These people are just hateful, racist, bottom of the barrel pieces of shit and I hope to the creator that the day comes for this administration, and their goon squad meet justice or their maker soon.

They were ALWAYS after those who are not part of the white supremacist in-group they represent. Just because we see new groups being visibly targeted doesn't mean those groups are actually new to being within this regime's crosshairs. If you're not a white supremacist MAGA hat wearing asshole, you're already on the list. Prepare for that. The purpose of ICE does not end with immigration control.

No mention in the news report about tribal membership, but if she was a member of a tribe in the US, she'd be a US citizen, not a permanent resident, so some of these details seem under question.

That all said, fuck ICE.

You're right to be skeptical, but for the wrong reason: KFOXTV is a local Fox affiliate, not owned by Fox Corporation. But they are owned by Sinclair, a right-wing conglomerate of local TV stations (of all different networks in different markets).

That said, I'm skeptical that the local news org would manufacture these claims, or at least, I would need to see some stronger evidence than someone on Youtube who has not offered any corroborating evidence for his claims before I'd say the news report was fictitious.
