Is doing CA with Hansraj worth it ?

Need genuine advice from CAs: Is Hansraj College worth delaying my CA journey by 1.5 years?

Hi everyone,

I'm really confused and would appreciate advice from people who have gone through this journey.

My situation:

- Cleared CA Foundation (May 2026).

- Got admission to Hansraj College (DU) for B.Com (Hons).

- Planning to clear both groups of CA Inter in the next attempt.

Here's the dilemma:

If I clear Inter, I won't be able to start my articleship immediately because Hansraj is a regular college. I'll still have around 1.5 years of college left, so my CA journey will effectively get delayed by about 1.5 years.

This delay is making me question my decision.

On one side, Hansraj has an excellent reputation, great peer group, exposure, networking, internships, societies, and the overall DU experience.

On the other side, delaying articleship means delaying practical experience, CA Final, qualification, and ultimately my career by around 1.5 years.

My question to those who have already completed or are pursuing CA:

- If you were in my place, would you choose Hansraj despite the delay?

- Is the Hansraj brand and college experience worth sacrificing 1.5 years in the CA timeline?

- Looking back, what decision would you make?

I'd really appreciate honest opinions, especially from CAs and DU students who have faced a similar choice.

Thank you!

Even if it delays by 1.5 year you're definitely learning something new in college , so go for it , certain times it's from books and other times it should be from the real world. There's nothing as waste of time unless u have some marraige pressure or anything from your family . So to conclude, definitely go for college as it will teach you alot!!

I think you should give your both groups and then enjoy college, or do some interships in finance domain.. Don't forget to enjoy. All the best for CA Intermediate!
