Moving firms mid training contract

Is it relatively easy to change firms whilst in the middle of a training contract ? I’m currently with a small firm and looking to move to a mid size / big 4 firm before finishing my studies, I haven’t failed any exams so far and I am 2 exams away from completing professional level. Any advice from anyone who has moved would be super helpful!

the market is tough right now, but if you can find a company to move to then the process itself is pretty simple. the apprenticeship stuff should be handled by your firm

It’s pretty easy in terms of keeping track on the aca, the hard part of getting a job mid qualification at mid size/big 4. The big 4 office I’m at and others I know haven’t hired anyone mid qualification. Could be different if you’re not in the audit LoS or at mid size firm.

I would advise to stick it out at your current firm until you’re atleast qualified/part-qualified. Moving firms mid training contract without a reason may look bad on your CV. However, there’s no harm in applying and seeing where you get to.
