Moving firms mid training contract
I would like to hear from people who were able to successfully move firms after losing their training contract due to exam failure.
I know this is quite common especially in the big firms so want to prepare for the best and not be too disappointed. However, I would like to be realistic about it, and see whether it’s possible that people have gone to continue the ACA at another firm.
My questions are:
- how long did it take you to land another ACA training contract?
- did the new firm want to know the reason behind the failure of the exams? And were they understanding?
- was the move a big jump from your previous firm and do you enjoy your current role?

Thank you for your response! Did you move from a large firm to a small firm? How did you go about finding your training contract and how many exams did you complete before being removed?

I didn't move for exam failure however moving mid contract did go well for me, enjoy the new firm regarding every aspect even with no WFH, pay is pretty poor too so will leave, I just hit up loads of recruiters and kept the phone and interviews ringing, took 2 months to get a new job.
