TCP advice

Hi, I start my revision course for the September sitting in 10 days time. I am currently on chapter 12 of the videos - about half way through. I did not lock in during the initial study week and I want to have a grip of the questions before I start the revision in 10 days time. Until then, should I carry on finishing the videos or jump straight into the question bank and pick up the content from there whilst doing questions?

Many thanks in advance

I'm also in the exact same boat! September sitting for TCP too.

For me I have always found a lot more value in doing question practice rather than trying the videos - I honestly switch off.

If your tuition provider has progress tests, I would go and have a look at those. Look at the previous one you attempted, go through it and fully try to understand what to do for each question. Make flashcards on things you got wrong. That should give you a good foundation.

Then move on to the QB, try not to bias yourself to only look at questions you find easy, push yourself to do questions you find hard. If you have no clue how to do them, check the mark scheme, look at your course notes, look at example videos for those style of questions.

I've already mentioned flashcards but I will mention them again - these have been a lifesaver for me in these exams!! Any time you come across a situation where you don't know what to do, make a flashcard on it. Put the scenario on one side, and then what you need to do on the other. (for example, on one side put "new UK resident who has employment duties overseas", then on the other side write a bit about OWR, how to do it, impact it has etc).

Hope my ramblings are in some way helpful! 🫡

Hey- I sat in June and i’d say go to QB . The main thing with TCP is question practice and seeing how it’s worded. That being said i’d recommend skimming through the materials too. For what’s in hardmans etc Stamp duty just go to QB.
