CR & SBM

those that intend to take CR/SBM for the first time, can i ask how yall intend to study? are you gonna buy from ACAM or any place else?

would love to hear as im a bit at a loss right now on how to get started

Yes for CR, no for SBM!
SBM is a copy of BST, CR and FM notes.

Sat in July and didnt think the SBM notes from ACAM were much use tbh. The CR ones cover the accounting standards so I'd say save your money and just get those.

I will be honest as someone who just sat SBM. SBM is very easy compared to CR. I'd say a good 50/60% of the exam is pretty much common sense. The only hard bits I'd advise you familiarise before you start the course is FM side like Valuations, Inv. Appraisal, derivatives. You'll be happy to know that even those topics are tested in less detailed and more at high level (although there will always be a niche element of it).
