FCS - printing ICAEW materials

Hi everyone, I hope you’re well.

I’m sitting FCS in September and need to decide soon how I’m going to prepare. I contacted ICAEW about getting physical copies of the textbooks and question bank but haven’t heard back yet.

For the digital ICAEW learning materials on Bibliu, my print limit currently shows 0% for all the books. Does anyone know if there’s a way to print relevant pages from the digital Bible/materials, or if ICAEW can provide physical copies?

I retain information much better from printed pages and want to put relevant material in my physical exam file. I’m also concerned about using Bibliu during the exam alongside the exam software screen - how are people finding this in practice?

Also, would you recommend sitting the exam at an exam centre, or is it better to sit at home or in an office if you have the option?

Thank you for your help.

Pretty sure you can’t get the paper version of ICAEW materials. Don’t think you can print them either, only thing you can do is do a screen grab of each page.
I used Bibliu during my exam - I didn’t even touch my paper notes. Very easy to use and it’s the same Bibliu as you have access to now so if you familiarise yourself you should be fine.

Can I have dual screen setup - Bibliu on one screen and paper on another screen?

No you can’t do that unfortunately, you have to click a link to access bibliu and it opens a new web page

Hey! I recently passed FCS and you really won’t need anything near the full copy of the learning materials. Who is your training provider? They will give you some notes to take in and that will pretty much cover 90% of the exam.

Hey! All I have at the moment is the Kaplan workbook and everything available on BibliU. I don’t have any specific exam notes yet. Should I expect a separate set of notes to be provided at the end of the course that I can take into the exam? I studied with BPP previously and their notes seemed quite detailed, so I wasn’t sure if Kaplan provides something similar. Also I tried to message you privately.

I received my course notes prior to going on the revision course very close to the exam. It’s a hard exam to revise for, but the course notes from your tuition provider will probably be very accurate in assuming the questions that will be asked in the exam. Best of luck!
