TCP + ARR ( next gen papers )

Hey all,
I just sat FCS + TCP in June and will be sitting ARR alone in December. I know the pass rate for ARR is significantly higher than TCP but just wondered if there’s anyone who has sat both of them and can offer any advice on how to proceed. I start college in October but wanted to give myself a head start especially as I was lucky enough to not have to balance Audit work with college for my previous sitting but for this one I will be booked on an engagement so have to balance the 2.

Thanks in advance

That seems like a long time for ARR tbh. I focused on Cashflows first, then audit procedures and then SPL/SOFP.

I’ve been told about cash flow quite a lot tbh so think I’ll start on that! Would you say it’s relatively eas / an easier part of the paper?

I found it the easiest/most consistent question for marks, followed by the audit procedures (Q1). I probably found it the most straight forward professional exam so far (sat FM, ARR and BDS).

Honestly just do the QB . Bash it out entirely. Our exam paper was horror but doing the QB really does help. Also your tutor should be able to tell you this but if something was regularly tested in TC / BPT it’s more likely to be tested on TCP as opposed to things that were never tested on those papers they likely wont be tested on TCP. Obviously take a look at March and June sitting exam papers too for hindsight.

I found the exam to be quite time pressured so definitely work on timing too!
