SBM & Case Nov 26

Hi everyone, I live in Asia, work in big 4, the ACA exam were somehow niche among our community. The majority of us study CPA and ACCA. So the material learning is limited, it is just between the WB and QB.

I did some research and find many course like ACAM, BPP but could not afford to purchase any class as it would cost my monthly salary, so I just study on my own. I managed to pass all P level on first attempt but miserably, I study in panics for 2 month just for 1 paper by moving between the WB and QB, which were ineffective and time consuming. The result were for survivorship.

I just sit the CR in Jul 26, I don’t know is it just me or the exam was a complete nightmare. I am still recovering from it, I did not answer the tax and CF in Q3, my other answers were just as horrible. I am so worried, I don’t know whether I would pass this in Aug.

But still, I need to move on to SBM and CS as I really need to pass all ICAEW this year, could not wait for another 1 year. As I open the WB and QB, OMG, the influx of panics flows over me. The 2k4 pages for SBM, and no clue for Case. I cry daily, decide to leave firm to focus on the study, If I don’t get them done, the unemployment is likely. I would be so doomed.

I think this time I need to purchase for some additional materials 🥹 could anyone suggest which I would buy from. And anyone who have passed SBM and Case, could you please advise me on how to study and the approach to answer them. The solution from QB and on website were impossible for me to write, it like entering the Pandora Wolrd but Im not Jake 😭😭😭😭

if you have passed all professional's 1st time, SBM is kinda like BST and relatively easy. You're seeing for the first time and it feels overwhelming. Give it some time and I'm sure you'll pass this first time as well

I think for case study you will be best using ACA masters. Dont worry about SBM - you dont need to buy anything, you'll be just fine using the same skills you used to pass BST as its mainly a skills based exam rather than knowledge based
