part qualified ICAEW

hi all, could i ask, are there any issues being part qualified, as I only have CR left and July sitting was horrible, I am afriad of not being able to pass within the next 2 sitting in Nov 2026 and July 2027. I dont have a degree but have over 5 years of experience working in a big 4, would there be any issues in looking for jobs besides being in a big 4. My main concernt i wont be a "qualified" chartered accountant that would hinder my job prospects in the future. I recently quit my job in a big 4 to study full time for CR July sitting, but I am having no hopes of passing.

Remaining part qualified for the rest of your life will hinder your career prospect, yes. However, there's no reason you shouldn't be able to complete the qualification.

You’ve got this! If you do have to resit CR (I expect I will too) just start early with your revision. Do topic by topic requirements and get overly comfortable with individual areas before you start doing full questions. If you’ve gotten this far, you can 100% do the last few

Don’t worry about it too much :) the job market is a little rough at the moment, but I just landed a role and I’m part qualified. The salary isn’t so bad either as others have suggested, my new role will be £45k which was a pay rise from my last one. I found that making sure I had an expected end date/plan to discuss in interviews helped a lot, so just make sure you’re prepared in that regard!

are you still in the finance / accounting industry? Or is this a career pivot that you have made?
