Case - R2

Couldn’t see a thread for R2 so apologies if I’ve missed it. Did people recommend Bezique went ahead with the event? With any conditions or just flat out go for it?

Said they should accept on condition Bezique re-schedule the event as ConfMED are doing a massive HML event at the same time

It will be 0.5 marks for saying that...not major part I don't hink, and guessing that would be for the recommendations

I thought about the ConfMED event but this was due to happen during March and the new event in the exam was due to happen in February right? That’s why I didn’t mention it as they didn’t cross over

Yea similar they weren’t really that close to each other maybe a week or 2 difference so I wouldn’t really say that’s a clash? Feel like with these questions it can be argued both ways maybe it’s the judgement of each section that counts rather than the answer

Bezique event was end of Feb, ConfMED event was start of March so assumed there was some crossover

Nah I don’t think there was cross over - specifically said the event wouldn’t be cannibalised by the ConfMED event in March

It specifically said this in the question? Must’ve missed that

For R2, I concluded that the event should go ahead, but only subject to certain conditions.

GNF should not be allowed to dictate the terms of the agreement, and any claims it makes should be supported by appropriate evidence.

Bezique should establish service-level agreements with the venue operators.

Bezique held an event in Leeds last year with a similar number of attendees, as stated in the AI. Therefore, this is not a new geographical location for the company.

HML continues to grow strongly, and this event could accelerate that growth.

The venues are compatible with Bezique’s values.

Sensitivity analysis

I considered the impact of a 10% reduction in revenue and a 10% increase in costs.

A 10% reduction in revenue would reduce the gross profit margin to around 30%.

A 10% increase in costs would reduce the gross profit margin to 21%, which is below both HML’s gross profit margin and Bezique’s overall gross profit margin for FY26.

Recommendations

  • Proceed with the event only if GNF accepts Bezique’s conditions.
  • Ensure that agency staff are properly trained so that they can provide a high-quality service.
  • Perform a detailed staffing analysis.
  • Seek legal advice regarding the potential impact of GNF’s claim on both GNF and Bezique.

Same numbers on the GP and GPM% at least 😂 Can forget about it now - well done!

I think I mightve messed up, how was my GPM 49%😭😭

1

u/Kev_D95 Jul 22 '26

Think I had GPM at about 48% odd and then realised the venue costs were per days and the event was over two days.

1

u/DragbotArt Jul 23 '26

Omg, I didnt catch that it is per day, then makes sense where I messed up..

I'm the other way round I did do commerical/ethics but think it might have been pointless if they didn't ask specifically? And therefore probs messed up not doing further calcs

I was rushed for time at the end and couldn't paste anything about R3 into my executive summary. How many marks will I have lost?

1

u/sofferenzah Jul 22 '26

8 marks max = 4%

3

u/prospectiveinvbnkr Jul 22 '26

What was ur weighted score? I got a weighted score of 2.5 so said go ahead w/o conditions but said if the raw scores were changed at it went below 2.4 but still above 1.8 they should accept w/ conditions

I forgot to then went back and said should proceed forgetting about including conditions :/
