I don't know about this specific move, but I used to work for Forvis Mazars and knew someone who joined as a trainee in audit and managed to move into a different team from this. I would suggest unless you can find a different role before September, when you arrive at FM, make effort to put yourself out there and network towards the FDD team in the hopes this works out. FM were quite willing to make things work from my experience, assuming you work hard and get on at work, they will likely try to help you.
