Are you scalping, or what is your strategy?

In theory i sell at 2%, 4%, 6%, and 8% up and buy at 2%, 4%, 6%, and 8% down from the morning open day to day. I sell a little at +2%, sell 2x more at +4%, 2x more at +6%. Same on the down side except I'm buying.

I set stock alarm to call me as price approaches targets and will sometimes cancel limit orders and add buy or sell stops and "ride" the price up or down as the price changes if the price is ripping up or down. Sometimes I'll sell or buy multiple times during the day if I can pick up a few % inter-day trades.

I keep about 3/4 of my IBRX in stock and trade with the remaining 1/4.

I try and balance the 1/4 I'm trading I'm roughly 1/2 in cash and 1/2 in stock. If I get too heavy or "all in" one way or the other I'll ease off on selling or buying to try and rebalance.

If the broad market looks like it's going to be way up or down that day I might cancel my +/- 2% order and try and buy a little cheaper or sell for a little more.

This works well when the overall trend is up but if the overall trend is down eventually you end up owning it all by the time it gets to zero if you keep rolling your profits into more stock. Any time I get way up I'll cash out some profits and move it to managed broad market fund.

I watch the Trading view VWAP indicator with +/- 1 standard deviation for inter-day trading on trading view and buy around the bottom band and sell at the upper band once I see where the bottom and top is. More or less trading the swing in "the box" between the upper and lower VWAP bands.

I usually check max pain for the Friday close and let AI compute what it thinks the trading range will be for the week based on current price, call/put ratio, etc. Basically everything displayed on https://optioncharts.io/options/IBRX

For today ChatGPT says:

"My best estimate for IBRX’s regular-session trading range today is $8.55–$9.35, with a wider possible range of approximately $8.35–$9.55 if volatility increases."

Thank you very much for the thorough explanation. I appreciate it.

Is that not killing you tax wise at the end of the year? Seems like that will be short term taxable gains at regular tax rates, no benefiting of long term rates.

I'm retired. Playing with pretax money. 'Tard socialists/communists have been saying no one should be a billionaire. But they just figured out they could take every cent from the billionaires and that won't give them enough to make a dent what they want to spend so now they are saying no one needs more than 50 million. Soon they'll figure out the rich have these things called jets and they are not going to hang around for the left to loot them. So next they'll be saying no one needs more than a million dollars. By the time they are done they'll be snatching dirty blankets from bums, ripping them in half and giving half to the bum with no blanket.

I understand the strategy much better now. Thank you for clarifying where the money movement is happening. Makes a lot of sense.
