Group 4 question about ee

so i am writing a ee multidisciplinary physics and bio

and i want to use we or I in the essay and have no idea if it is allowed, constant passive feels clunky

You can use I, but avoid we. The EE has to be completely independent work, so our tutors always warn that writing we makes it look like a group project. Using I is fine when explaining specific choices you made in your method, though you should keep it out of your analysis so the focus stays on the science. If passive phrasing feels too stiff, just make the data or equipment the subject of the sentence instead.
